I'll be going to Good Hope Estate as part of my June cruise.
The cruise site suggests bringing local currency for snacks & souvenirs.
So:
1. Does anyone know if the concessions at Good Hope accept plastic?
2. If not will they accept US dollars? I would imagine $1.00 and $5.00 bills ought to cover what I would buy there.
Thanks!

They accept credit cards. At least, they did when I was there in December, 2019.

They might take your US dollars, but not at any remotely fair exchange rate. And, any change that you get back will be in Jamaican dollars.

The current exchange rate is about 155 JMD to 1 USD, so... best to just use your credit cards, if you can.

Yup, cause why would they have American money to give back for change? I use cards if I don't have the countries currency on me.

Check with credit card for international fees.

Don't fall for credit card scam of option to bill in US dollars, where the exchange rate is set to favor the seller. Alway bill in local currency and let bank do the exchange to dollars at a much better rate.
