I've been following the threads on the DVC board about the member's cruise and how quickly it is selling out. In a nutshell, Categories 5, 6, and 7 sold out first. Then categories 8 and 11 sold out (and I believe 12 sold out). Is this typical for the order in which the categories sell out do you think? (Categories 1 and 2 were not available on this cruise). Last update was that only Category 3 and Category 10 were still available.

The categories that sell out the quickest are the ones that have the least number of staterooms available...7, 8 and 12. Of the full verandah cabins, Cat. 6s sell out faster than Cat. 5s, because they are less expensive and the only difference is deck location.

Of course the suites also sell out quickly due to their limited availability. :)

I think the DVC cruise is pretty indicative of how the cabins sell overall. There will always be differences from cruise to cruise, but for the most part it seems fairly typical. :)

In general the most expensive and the cheapest categories sell out first. However with DCL, the most expensive and the verandah categories seem to go quickly, mainly because they are larger cabins and most cruisers are families.
