Pete,
you crack me up everytime you rant on starbucks. I'm giggling as I'm typing this. But what I would like to know is, have you ever had an actual coffee from starbucks or just the latte drinks? Alot of people do not realize there is actual coffee there. Personally I enjoy their COFFEE, and I'm just as much as a coffee snob as you.. maybe more lol. AND did you know at most starbucks you can order a press? Well not sure if they still do that but they did a couple years ago. but it's definately something to look into.

I'm also a strong coffee fan and carry my Aeropress to work every day. I generally prefer Pete's over Starbucks, but don't think their drip coffee is burnt tasting - it's way better than the brown colored water Dunkin Donuts sells up here in the Northeast.

It all boils down to personal taste, and everyone's is different.

I am not a coffee snob at ALL (my husband is), but I find the regular Starbucks coffee disgusting.

I prefer their specialty drinks over the regular coffee. I am not a coffee snob but, I do find it to be too strong for me. I should try one of their blonde roasts. It's just that I'm set in my specialty ways now. I really like their teas though.

The new(ish) Blonde roast is light and smooth, very mild, not at all burned tasting. Their Sumatran roast is also excellent. Not a fan of the Pike's Place roast.

I do find some of their coffee to be way too strong, so I understand some of what Pete thinks about Starbucks. To each their own :)
The blonde roast is very good, it was the first coffee of theirs I really liked. The new 3 region blend they have out now is also very good. I had them grind it for me - they asked how I liked it and when I told them on the lighter side, the ground it for that.

I'm not a fan of Starbucks regular coffee, I know what Pete means about the burnt taste. I do love their espresso frapauccinos though and their VIA instant coffee packs are awesome. I always carry a couple in my purse so I can have a decent cup of coffee over coffee flavored water that you get at a lot of places. Still, I'm agree with Pete about the Main Street Bakery, they could have put it somewhere else and if they had to put it there, why did they have to take out all the seating and put the cinnamon rolls at Gaston's?

It doesn't bother me so much, because the only handful of times I've been in there to purchase anything is to use up extra snack credits. I'm more inclined to frequent the bakery now moreso than before. logistically, they'll sell more coffee than cinnamon rolls. Really the rolls are just a niche item.. Unless you are "in the know", the common guest wouldn't even care. It's a good move.

I actually have a coffee allergy (I know, right? lol), but frequent Starbucks often. I have two favorites: the iced Chai tea latte and the iced green tea latte. Both are really good and have enough caffeine for part of my day. ;)

I think Pete is better off starting with the new blonde roast blend. It is marketed for those looking for something a bit smoother.

I don't like starbucks plain coffee.
But add ice, milk, sugar, and flavorings... blend them together ....

:cool1: frappacino.

I like really strong, full flavored coffee... espresso and I get what Pete says. I don't care for Starbucks either; to me it tastes burnt, not full flavored. I definitely do not want a lighter blend, I like full bodied blends...just without the burnt flavor that Starbucks often has. I take mine straight up, so no milk, etc. to cover the flavor.

Everybody's taste in coffee is different, so it's okay that some love Starbucks and some of us don't care for it.

Hey, it is waaaaaayyyyyy better than Nescrape'

Not their biggest fan, but I will drink it

I have to agree with Pete, Starbucks taste like burnt, bitter coffee. Just don't get all the hype over this place..

I grew up on fire house coffee, dad was also former coast guard and they just leave the coffee on all day too. So I don't mind strong coffee but Starbucks is way to bitter for me. I drink my coffee like it should be, black no sugar and HOT! LOL! I think that's why their coffee and I don't get along. Most people I know that get coffee from their get cream and sugar as well as other flavors. It wasn't strong they would never taste it! But it is better than Nescafé !

I'm a total coffee nerd and Starbucks was actually my 'gateway drug'. Their coffee is a lot stronger, more robust than what you can usually buy in other chains or at your local grocery store. This paved the way for me to discover more about coffee.
I now usually go for full bodied small roasters like Intelligentsia, Stumptown, Phil & Sebastian or Metropolis.

But when travelling, I will stop into a Starbucks for either a drip, espresso or latte.

I really don't get all the Starbucks hate everyone has, no one is making you go in and buy it. As for why they chose the location they did simple they want it to be easy for the average guest to find it without having to ask for directions to it.

One other thing I think I did have a cinnamon bun there once, but don't really remember it being any different than any other I've had. I guess I just don't get the hype over them, if it's a problem for people I would suggest you complain in person to guest services as I've herd from other sites that Disney will listen to a complaint from guest service but not ones sent to other locations for example sending an email to Bob Iger.
