Curious three year old?

Hello, anyone out there have a good answer to the question,"why don't the characters talk at Disneyworld?" My DS is three years old and has been there countless times and has always loved the characters, even from infancy he would leap to them and he has finally asked that dreaded question. What do I say...he is still so into them and I don't want to take away any of the magic. I appreciate any suggestions..

I did a search on the words Why Characters Talk and came up with several threads, here are couple of recent ones:
