Curious...Does Barack Obama Make $$$ From the Commemorative Stuff?

I've seen sooooooooooooooooo many commercials for commemorative Obama things, especially the plate and the coins and I was curious as to if they have to get his permission and approval to make these things and if he makes any money off this stuff? They are using his likeness and I'd imagine they would need permission? Like a licensing thing. Just curious how that works.

I don't think so. They must have some way to get around it.

No. As an elected official, his image is in the public domain. Anyone can use it, and they do not have to pay him.
