I've seen pictures of various trading cards. Are these for sale somewhere or are they given away at various locations? Do they come individually or in sets? Do people trade them? Are they still available? Are they considered a collectible?

I would appreciate any information!!

My husband has a complete set, but I haven't seen them given out on the ship lately. I'm not sure if they're officially retired or just given out sporadically. They are sometimes sold on Ebay, although I find the prices to be a bit high for something that was given out for free. On the ship, all you had to do was ask (and if you were an adult, sometimes they would make you do something silly, like sing a song). People trade them among themselves. I know that my husband has traded with others here on DIS. He has his collection on our website if you want to see what they look like.

I just got one on our 2/1 cruise...I got it at port...it was just a pic of port...couldnt find anything else...

Thanks for the info, guys.

Barb, I have seen them on your website and on EBAY - that's what sparked my curiosity. So, you could ask any cast member? Or would you get the Disney Dreams card from a cast member at the Disney Dreams show, etc.? How do you know what's in a set?

We got them when we went to the shows at night, they handed out the ones appropriate for that particular production, so we have one for Hercules and one for Disney Dreams...I think one more as well, but I have to find that one, can't remember which it was for.

Often the crew members are handing them out at shows and events. But if not, don't be shy about asking. You never know who might have some. For example, when the engine room card was originally released, the only way to get it was to ask the ship's engineer!

That sounds like an adventure - we love a challenge !! Thanks for the great information.

On the Daily Navigator's there is a symbol next to the event's where they pass out the cards. They are usually very good about getting them to the kids, but if you are a "big kid" you sometimes have to ask.

They were still distributing the cards on our 2/7 cruise and as was just mentioned it is listed on the Navigator everyday where they will have them.
