Curious about DDE card

I'm a newbie here and I get confused about some of the abbreviations. What exactly is the DDE card? I see it mentioned may times but can't find out what it is or where it is purchased. Thanks.

It is the Disney Dining Experience card. It is available to Annual Pass holders and/or Florida residents. It used to be available to Florida residents only for $75. Now it is available to Annual Passholders also. But for $50. It gives discounts (20%) on just about every restaurant at WDW, including adult beverages. I just ordered mine yesterday and it will be valid until 3/31/06. I believe www.allears.net has the entire list of participating restaurants.

Yes- 20% off everywhere except Japan, some small fast food places, and specialty dinners like fantasmic package. Excellent value if you eat in the parks or hotels. You get a pair of cards and can take up to 8 guest with you for dinners. There were 5 of us in Jan and we paid for the card by our second dinner! It take a while for the cards to arrive but they sent us an e-mail that I carried around and worked fine.

Although it excludes Japan, if you're an AP holder, I believe you can get 10% off if you dine there for lunch Monday-Friday. That's not so bad! Better than nothing.

Apparently it does not provide a discount for Fantasmic dinner packages although you can use it for discounts for meals alone at the full service MGM restaurants.
