Curious about Birthday stickers

How does this work? I know you get them at City Hall but do you have to show them I.D. or something? Can you only wear it on your actual birthday?

it is actually a pin, and no you don't have to show id and they don't ask when you are going to where them or for how long. The only thing they ask is Who's Bday is it? If it is yours (or someone with you) they arrange for a phone call from a character. When I was there I picked them up to surprise my MIL, who was celebrating her Bday on our trip and my cousin who is celebrating her Bday when she goes in Sept.
