"Cure" found for homosexuality?

Experiments on gay sheep have found that they can be "cured" with certain hormone injections. It's being said that these experiments could possibly be transferred to humans. Gay rights campaigners are up in arms. That's really it: To the extent something like this could be created, is it "fixing" something unnatural or "breaking" something natural -- nothing about the whole homosexuality debate would have actually changed EXCEPT to finally prove a biological (rather than strictly environmental) aspect. In that regard, it seems to favor the traditionaly homosexual-tolerant side of the debate much more so than the traditionally anti-homosexual side of the debate.

I think it's just sad that people are looking for a "cure" for homosexuality. Whether this particular website is a spoof or not, it's just too bad that some people have such a deep all encompassing need to mind other people's business.

Truthfully, the straight people need to leave the gay people alone and stop treating them they like a have a mental illness that can be changed with therapy or a pill. If everyone could just accept everyone, what a better place this world would be. I better stop posting before I get on my pulpit and start preaching. I don't agree. While I fully defend a homosexual's sexual preference, I also defend the right of anyone to avail themselves of medical technology that they believe will make their lives better without harming others -- this is an essential aspect of being pro-choice. How can we oppose chemical sexual preference modification, while we support gender reassignment surgery options? or any plastic surgery for that matter...

It does seem likely that if there is a chemical means to "switch" someone from homosexuality to heterosexuality, a complementary treatment can be devised to "switch" someone from heterosexuality to homosexuality. The reality is that what the scientist believes is irrelevant, since their discovery wouldn't (necessarily) be applied to their own body. They can surely decide what research they want to do, but that doesn't limit the range of application of what they create. So what would matter is whether the person who would be taking this chemical treatment believes.

I can tell you that, as a heterosexual male, if I somehow found myself with female plumbing, I'd be very-much interested in a medical treatment that would make me into a lesbian.
