Just heard a rumor that curbside check-in has been resumed at Detroit Metro on a case-by-case basis for carriers. So far, it has resumed for Northwest and United. No other word on other carriers (or airports). Can anyone else confirm?

This would be great news for us--traveling to WDW for 10 days (and in 10 days) with a 3 year old--can use all the help we can get!

USAirways in Pittsburgh resumed curbside check-in on Saturday.

I heard the FAA ended the ban on Friday night if the airline/airport had new security measures in place.

Oh, that is FANTASTIC news. Not only for travelers but definitely for the Sky Caps.
Thanks for sharing!!!!!

I saw this earlier on CNN and came here to see if I could find any details. (I know I always can find answers here! Thanks OP!)

I am sooo glad to see some of the curbside check ins starting back up. I was under the impression that they were gone for good. This will help so much with our family reunion if they get Indy's airport "up to par" and have the curb "running" again. I've been telling the rest of the family to hold tight on some of the policies because they (airports and FAA) change things every day.

Thanks for the heads up with who is currently doing curb checkin.

I know that Sky Harbor in Phoenix has not started it yet. They said they plan to but are still working out all the security rules and regs. I, too, like the idea of having it back.

Curbside check in has also resumed here in Philly this weekend but only for US Air. The lines were so long that people waited for three hours to check in and missed their flights. Philly is a hub for US Air so they had the longest lines. As far as I know, the other airlines have not resumed curbside check in.

Started back up at LGA as well.

We had curb side check in at Orlando this past Sunday (9-30) with Delta when we flew out. It was great and saved a ton of time.

Hey Trudy-

We're leaving out of DTW on 10/12 Northwest for Orlando! When are you flying out? Curbside check-in will make it much easier as we are traveling with a 5, 6 and 7 yr old.

Our television station here in Phoenix said that two airlines were starting curbside at the beginning of this week. They thought by the end of the week or beginning of next that most would have resumed curbside checkin.

I'm sure glad. We love curbside at Orlando. It is so much easier when we are dropped off and traveling with a 3 year old. It makes the end of the trip much nicer. Does anyone know if Southwest Airlines has started their curbside check in back up at Orlando?

Chris:

We are going out 10/10 and returning 10/20 on NWA. Staying at OKW. Where are you staying? There will be 3 of us: my husband my nearly 3 year old daughter and me.

Trudy-

We are leaving 10/12 and coming back 10/20 and staying in a grand villa at OKW! How about that? Our flight on the 20th leaves at 3:30 pm I think NW direct from Orlando. Is this your first visit with your daughter?

Not sure if SWA is doing curb check in at any airport. I do know they are not at BDL. I would call and see if they are. It sure does make it easier, but, as much as I appreciate the service I am a bit hesitant to see it reintroduced. What new security measures are they taking? Anyone know?

This is the latest from the SWA site.
