We are flying Delta from Northeast PA. Does the MCO airport and Delta offer curbside check in anymore. Is it possible to check the luggage first and then return the rental car. This would be a heck of a lot easier I would think. Also can you bypass the Delta counter if you do this or do you still have to go there to get your boarding pass. We will have etickets. Thanks for any help or advice

At most airports Delta has curbside check in. The big issue with checking your bags and then returning the car is that security gets VERY upset at unattended cars in the areas in front of the airport. I saw a family get ticketed in Chicago while they were waiting in line at the skycap. So there is no gurantee you can get your luggage checked before you get a ticket or worse towed.

The skycap should be able to give you a boarding pass, if not just take your e-ticket print out to the security area and that will let you through. You can get a boarding pass at the gate.

Yes, Delta has skycaps and yes, you can get a boarding pass with an eticket from the skycap.
We do this all the time (with SWA). Dee drops the luggage and me off, shows the skycap his ID and ticket, then leaves me with the luggage and the skycap and takes the car back. No hassle at all.
They are wicked strict about "live parking" to pick someone up, but rather easy going with the drop off for skycaps at Orlando.
