Hi there. I've recently become addicted to gourmet cupcakes. I'm leaving for WDW tomorrow and wondered if anyone has had success finding gourmet cupcakes at the world.
I don't mean just plain cupcakes -
I mean like extra special ones!
So I can buy a few and share them with my friends.
Any ideas?
I've never been to the bakery on the boardwalk everyone raves about.
Maybe they have some?

CRAP, veggieninjasupreme, lay of the mini-cakes.
This kind of sugar addiction is a gateway-drug to the harder stuff like Baby Shower Cake, and My Little Pony Birthday Cake. ;)

P.S. I'm expecting explicit food-porn photos and a DETAILED description of every bite!

All of a sudden I have a desire for some My Little Pony Birthday cake.

If I remember right, they had some nice looking ones at Goofy's Candy Company. But I was too busy picking out my ooey-gooey made to order chocolate covered marshmallows.

MMMMMmmmmm....

It's not disney food porn, but it'll do.

It's Nashville, Monica! Of course it's real Southern Comfort!

I totally pictured Nashville cupcakes to look way different.

Those look more like Knoxville cupcakes.

The Boardwalk Bakery has cupcakes (delicious ones!) but they are not specialty cupcakes like those. All the cupcakes seem simlilar throughout Disney.

Unfortunately there are no Billy's, Magnolia's or Cupcake Cafe at WDW. Maybe there should be a kiosk at EPCOT. :goodvibes

No magnolia's there (well come on it doesn't get better than that or why else would there be lines around the block all times of the day!:rotfl: ) but try the Boardwalk bakery and the Main street Bakery in MK.

Hmmm, cupcakes do sound good tonight!

I too am a cupcake lover and am sad to say that in my last two recent trips, 2007 and 2005, I've yet to find a true gem of a cupcake. Most even seem to have more of a whipped topping icing instead of buttercream. I continue to hope and believe that one day I will get a fabulous cupcake at Disney World. At least they have the pastries right in Epcot in the France pavilion.

Mmm... I love cupcakes! They are truly the perfect dessert - no messy cutting, determining how big to cut, pretty much a single person thing, so no sharing, don't even need a plate or fork if you don't want one! Good thread, but it sounds like Disney's cupcakes are pretty basic, does anyone know of any gourmet cupcake places in Orlando?
