Cubs Den at Wilderness Lodge

Does anyone have any experience leaving their children at the Cub Den at Wilderness Lodge? Our boys will be 4 & 9 when we go in May and we'd like to leave them for two evenings.

We were at the Lodge this past June and visited one afternoon. We never did get to leave the kids -- as with so many trips, we "ran out of time." During the visit, though, the place was pronounced "cool" by my 9-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son. It is fairly small, with toys, crafts and video games. They had a large tv showing a Disney film, also. I recall there were Pokemon video games, which impressed my two. It looked like there was a lot to keep kids busy for a few hours. The ladies on duty warned me to "book early" on Friday and Saturday nights as they fill up fast on these date nights! The kids were disappointed that we never got to let them stay here.

The den is just off the main lobby toward the Villas side.

We, too, visited it during our last trip. They had an afternoon visitation time before they opened for childcare. Our little one was very impressed (there are friends here!) but we were checking it out for our spring trip because she wasn't 4 yet.

We tried to take our 4 1/2 year daughter to the Cubs Den three years ago. It doesn't sound like it has changed much so here is my two cents.

We thought it was small and I was unimpressed. There were some video games, but my daughter refused to stay and we ended up taking her out with us.

You should be okay as you have two children and they can entertain on each other.

Over-all, I was quite disapointed with the Cubs Den. I hear the Poly has a great child care center.

We loved it....our youngest had a blast and made some new friends! Our kids stay with us for the most part as that is part of the magic for us, but this one times, I didn't mind leaving them!

Hi there,

We stay at the Villas at the Wilderness Lodge quite often, and our daughter uses the Cub's Den and really enjoys it.


PS She was 6 when she first used it.
