Backlot ExpressI used to like the cuban sandwich at the ABC Commissary, It's been a few years since I ate there, they've changed the menu. Does anyone know if the cuban sandwich available somewhere else?
And I'll add that the one from Backlot is surprisingly good and a very large portion - easily shareable.Backlot Express
Yes I was actually surprised how good it was.Homecomin' in DS has one though I haven't tried it. I've been tempted as I love a good Cuban sandwich but I always cave and get some form of their delicious fried chicken.

1905 SaladI just remembered exactly the names of the AK Dino Land quick serve where we got the Cuban sandwiches.
It was Restaurantosauros (sorry about spelling...just off a plane from Disney an hour ago and very tired).
The absolute BEST Cuban sandwich is in downtown Celebration (15 minutes away from Disney) called Columbia Restaurant.
Oh my....Cuban sandwich and their special salad are a fantastic team. Definitely worth the ride.
OMG there's a Columbia at Celebration! I'll leave the bubble for a Media Noche sandwich and a 1905.
Unfortunately we won't have a car that week, so no trip to Celebration. Glad though that they still have it available around the parks.OMG there's a Columbia at Celebration! I'll leave the bubble for a Media Noche sandwich and a 1905.

YES, they do exact same thing at Celebration. AND at St. Augustine location. I have dreams of that salad and bought the dressing there.I don't know if it's done at the Celebration location, but the 1905 salad is prepared on a cart at their original location in Y'bor. They also made a pitcher of Mojito at our table. It's a great salad and atmosphere.
It's worth a cheap Uber. Ha. (which we've done)Unfortunately we won't have a car that week, so no trip to Celebration. Glad though that they still have it available around the parks.
It might depend on the time of day or what one orders but I've been to St. Augustine lunch and dinner and not once was it prepared at our table. Not a big deal but not something I would depend on. Dinner we had big entrees and salad, lunch varied but I had half & half, sandwich and salad.YES, they do exact same thing at Celebration. AND at St. Augustine location. I have drams of that salad and bought the dressing there.
Such a cool place. Plus I cannot seem to get out of there without buying some kind of little cute dish. My husband has to hold me back. Ha.
Thank you. Very good to know. We didn't eat at the St. A. location. Just saw it when sightseeing there in March when we stayed at Cocoa B. Celebration will always be our go-to place because we go to Disney a lot. That salad and the gazpacho both prepared table side are the best meal there. So fresh! The ability to customize my 1905 salad tableside is a real treat. The server catered to my requirements during the preparation. I do like the atmosphere at the original location.
