When in the Bahama's, is there a place that you can buy real Cuban Cigars? 2 years ago I bought some in a small store near the Docs. The lady was quick to reduce her prices. I just don't want to get stuck with imatations. I love the Monti's.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you can only buy and smoke the cigars on the island. You cannot bring them back on the ship, and, of course, can't bring them back to the states. This is if they are truly Cuban made. Sorry.

You can bring Cubans onto the ship, but you cannot bring them back into the U.S.

I just wish you could buy them on the ship. THe ones sold are good, but just not as good as Cubans.

Sorry for the inaccuracy! I could have sworn when we went on the 3 day back in 99 that we were told that you could not bring them past the dock in Nassau.

On our fisrt Cruise in 4/02 we were told at the briefing that you are allowed to smoke them on board in designated areas, but they could not be brought back into the USA. I think I remember a drug sniffing dog when we boarded from the island, but they were not checking for fine cuban cigars.

Cuban Cigars are not allowed to be brought into the United Sates. The Ship is not the United Stataes there for you can bring them on board any ship.. However when clearing coustoms if you have not smoked them all, they may be confiscated and you may be fined. Ask A CM and they will be able to tell you all the great places to find cigars.

When you are in Nassau, we had many men approach my husband to buy. He didn't, but when someone in our group came by, we sent him to the guy. He went into the back of the straw market.

He put them in his shorts when he went on board. He smoked them in a designated place on board. He seemed satisfied with the quality. I also believe he might have taken one into the US. There were no dogs that I remember. Of course, I'm sure its illegal but he didn't have a problem. I think he put them in his pocket again.
