I have been a member for a few years and on my last cashout which was just a few weeks ago just recently I noticed my points were back in my account and by my name on the front page it said unverified member.

I emailed to ask and got a reply that they were verifing all members just to make sure they were real people with real addresses. OK thats fine but I was told I need to email her my DL to verify. Now Im not to fond of sending this over the internet and for that dact I dont know how!!!

I emailed her back asking if there was any other way and still have not recieved a response but I was wondering if anyone else had to go through this and what you did to verify

the verified is still in the process, I only just got it coded this week. I'm not in front of the CttM PC yet to reply to emails, but will be later tonight and tomorrow. I've had help with this so a lot of redemptions were reset as a result. This doesn't mean you cannot cash out, it's just a reset of the system while we coded.

Just in case anyone is wondering, hubby and I also own the restaurant where we met, so I work out of there during the day on a laptop and the desktop is where I get all CttM emails replied to so I can keep them all in 1 place = less confusion.

What I will be doing in the next few days is going back through and verifying all members who have either already received a physical redemption or have sent in swap items.

Over the last 2 years, we've found several "virtual" members; those who have been using bogus email addresses when they cash out and some with no mailing address at all!!! We have also found a few people using numerous bogus accounts and don't even have a paypal account and are trying to cash out for paypal. As we cannot send to a non-existant account, these are the same people who get real nasty why they haven't received a redemption (then there's those who insist on a paper check because they didn't know that paypal needed an account).

Umm, how can a redemption be sent to an account that doesn't exist???

No one is being singled out by any means, it's just much easier to verify real people. I'm still working on other ways to verify so please don't take offense. I've read where other sites will flat out cancel a person's account THEN ask for verification! I can usually tell who's real by getting to know them (IE forums) so that will help get people verified quicker too. I'm trying to weed out the people who have set up multiple accounts.

Hope this clears some confusion, I'm just about always here in 1 way or another (presently working on CttM's new layout until I can get back), so please always feel free to call on me! The only time I personally won't be here is the end of May, beginning of June, I'm taking a few weeks off to have jr. but I have great people who will be taking care of things til I get back in the swing of things!!!
