Anyone out there have a dentist recommendation of a Connecticut dentist that accepts the Aetna DMO plan?
I have terrible teeth (I brush and floss) and am having a hard time picking a dentist without a recommendation.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I do not live in CT, but I work for a dentist so I wanted to offer up an opinion. We are not on any dental plan list, but we accept most insurance plans. As long as you are not restricted to your list, you can probably go out of network. I do not know how it is everywhere, but around our area most of the really good dentist do not join insurance plans. Sometimes if you go out of network you will have to pay alittle more, but a good dentist would be worth it to me. If you are allowed to go out of network, you could get a fee schedule from your insurance company. Then call some dental offices to see how much they charge for certain things. As long as they charge the same or close to what the fee's are in the fee schedule you will be fine. I hope this makes sense, & good luck finding a dentist. Remember a good dentist will be able to do virtually pain free dentistry, & not always reccommend the highest priced services.
