CSR & WL - Good combo?

For our July 05 trip, I'm thinking of combining 3 nts @ CSR (ranchos section) followed by 4 nts. @ WL for "hopefully" my BF who has never joined my DD & I on any of our 24 WDW vacations. I'd love to resort hop between WL & an Epcot resort (YC - he's very "manly"), but that may not be in our budget, so I was thinking CSR would be a good alternative for 2 different theme experiences. He may NEVER go back, so I want him to experience more than 1 resort & we LOVE to resort hop! Any opinions?

Sounds like a good combo to me. However, don't get your hopes up on staying in the Ranchos. Depending on how full the resort is you may not have a choice in which section of CSR your room is.

Update: just rented points for a studio @ BCV for $140/nt.!
Now, I'm hoping codes come out for July & I can have WL at a good rate, so we'll have both an Epcot resort & MK resort. If not, we'll do our first few nights @ POR, & finish with BCV.
