I booked CSR- business class with the hope that the location will work out well for us. We will be taking my son who uses a wheelchair for distance (and Disney). We will be driving our own car and have a disabled placard. We are not getting a disabled room. Is there a suggested room location that is close to both the elevator and the parking lot (the one with Disabled parking?) and the business lounge? I prefer 2nd floor since I am a light sleeper, but perhaps first floor would be better? I also do not want to be anywhere near a smoking area (allergies). Is noise a problem on first floor rooms?
Also has anyone heard of a wheelchair stolen while on rides? Should I be trying to get a gps locator to attach to it (its very expensive and new)?

There is a fantastic, well-maintained thread on CSR with all the various "prime" locations.

You can go over to the disabled board to obtain the phone number for reservations where you can have the request added to your ressie to be close to....

Wheelchairs as well as strollers are very well-monitored at each attraction. You should put some kind of indentifier on it that says it is yours and take all your valuables with you when you go on the attractions, i.e. phones, cameras, etc. You can find info regarding wheelchairs and the attractions on the theme parks and strategies board.

All of the CSR business class rooms are located in Cabana 9B. There are two floors in the building. The lounge is on the first floor.

CSR is a very quiet resort in general, and the separate buildings prevent a lot of foot traffic past your room. It is possible to get noisy neighbors at any resort.

The smoking area nearest to 9B is on the path around the lake - it is not near the rooms.
