CSR vs POR

Hi!

We were originally going to stay at POP but decided to upgrade to a Mod as this is an adult only trip and got a room at CSR.

We have a standard room booked for CSR for the second week in May. Today a room at POR opened up. It is a Garden View room. The cost difference is about $200 more for the five nights to stay at POR.

With all the construction going on at CSR is it worth it to move to POR? I have not stayed at either resort so I have no idea which to chose.

We stayed at POFQ and loved it. We stayed at CBR and hated the bus service. We LOVED BC but I really don't want to pay the extra for a deluxe this trip as we are going back to BC in August for 2 weeks for a family trip. I would love the Poly the May trip but it's $225 more per night and BWI is $170 per night more!

Our main concern is being able to sleep in in the morning as this is an adult only trip and we do plan on having late nights.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

You will be able to sleep in the morning. The current work at CSR is not loud.

I would probably stay at CSR, save the $200 for eats/drinks.

With standard I would request Ranchos, most those rooms will be buffered from noise.

And they have been refurbishing those rooms so you might get a new one.

CSR is great resort for adults with several dining and lounge options.

The noise construction is concentrated in one area between El Centro and Cabanas.

Even though I love POR (my favorite) I think CSR is beautiful (stayed there last fall), especially if its an adult trip. I would save the $200 and stay at CSR.

We were booked last month at CSR and I changed to POR when I heard about the construction and spent about $200 as well.. I do not regret doing it. I spent a little more than we had budgeted for but we were able to enjoy the grounds of the resort and not have to worry about any type of inconveniece. If I am going for a vacation, I want peace. Now that I have stayed at both ( CSR in December '16) I honestly don't think I would stay at CSR again. The boat ride, the prompt bus service, the beautiful resort, POR is amazing in my eyes and worth the extra, especially considering what's happening at CSR.
