Ok, I currently have reservations for CSR for three nights with free dining. We are then moving to Poly conceirge GV for seven nights with the 40% off code. I have never stayed at either resort, and we have five people including kids ages 12, 5, and 2. My issue is that if I change to CSR for the whole trip I will save 2,000. That is a huge amount. We would miss the balcony, snacks, and monorail, but that is a big difference in price. We will be there for 10 nights, though, and I don't want to feel squished in at CSR with the smaller room and no balcony. Money is tight, but we could swing it. I just keep reading that conceirge isn't quite what it used to be, etc. and I am rethinking spending the extra money. Any opinions?

That's a lot of money but it also would be tight with 5 people. CSR does have jr suites that are basically two rooms. Check out my website below for pics and info.

Are you able to switch to GV without the concierge? This way you still get Poly but a bit cheaper than concierge? I am back and forth between CSR and Poly!

Poly's rooms are much bigger, and you will definitely notice the difference with five people. Since you are there for 10 nights, I'd keep the split stay but drop concierge if you can do that and still use the discount code. The monorail is a huge plus given your kids' ages, especially if you want to take your two year old back for a break at the resort.

That said, we have stayed at CSR and at Poly and have chosen CSR for our next trip. The Poly is more than double the CSR per night - not worth the difference to us when we love CSR. But if I had the 40% off code, I would stay at the Poly for the convenience (and DH likes the flat-screen TVS :rotfl2: ).

Have a great trip!

I vote for the Poly! With 5 people, the room size really matters, and the Poly has some of the largest rooms on WDW property! :)

I would just stay at the Poly in a regular GV room.

Was the dining plan included in your Poly rate? If it was then I would stay at the Poly in a regular GV room, if it isn't then I would maybe consider staying at CSR with the free dining.

But I am someone who went to CSR then to the Poly and back to CSR. :rolleyes1

Thanks for the responses. The price for both would be with the dining plan. (free at CSR) paying for it at the Poly. Dropping the concierge was about 500.00 cheaper if I remember correctly. I am not sure if I can change with the code or not. Hmmm....something to think about. ;)

I wouldn't do food the plan and concierge. When we have stayed concierge we rarely ate more than a good lunch and a snack. We ended up too full for a dinner when we visited the Poly lounge between 5 and 7.
