CSR to MK---Bus or Car?

We're going to Disney next weekend & we're planning on driving up early Sunday morning, checking in & dropping our luggage off at CSR & then heading to MK. We will be traveling w/ an 18 month old and a stroller. It sounds easiest to me to drive to MK rather than take the bus. Any reason we should take the bus instead? Same goes for AK the next day--the plan is to drive there unless I hear some reason not to.

We always drive. We've been going for years and have no patience for the busses. It wouldn't even be an issue if I had an 18 month old. They can't wait when they are tired. This way you have your own transportation and can come and go as you please. Also parking is free for WDW guests.

MK is the one park that it may be easier to take the bus. The bus drops you off close the the park entrance. If you drive you will park in the TTC lot, most likely you will need to ride a tram to get from the lot to the TTC. The stroller will have to be folded for the tram and depending on were in the row you are parked it can be a hike to the tram. From the tram you will have to walk to either the monorail or the ferry boat to get to the MK, the stroller need not be folded for these. Time wise the bus to MK is generally faster, especially it open since you only have to wait for the bus. If you drive, you wait at the toll plaza(no you don't pay, but still have to wait) follow the traffic into the lot, wait for a tram, walk to the monorail or ferry and then wait for that.

If you plan on going back for naps in the afternoon your car will be HOT, the bus is airconditioned.

I agree with Maggie. Any other park, and I'd think the car would be the way to go, but it'll be much easier to take the bus to MK.

I have to agree...take the bus. As mentioned the CSR bus will be faster than driving. CSR does not share busses with other resorts. We've done the stroller thing, too. We drove to all of the parks, except MK. The CSR busses normally are not too crowded, so bringing a stroller onboard isn't too much of a hassel.

In my opinion, the bus is best to MK for all the reasons listed above.

To DAK it will depend on what time you want to be there. If you want to be there at opening, then take the bus as you will not get into the parking lot until opening time. If you are willing to go a little later, take the car. The DAK buses stop at BB both going to and coming from DAK so even though CSR is close, it takes much longer than driving.

defintely Bus- The bus stops right outside of the MK. You will still have to handle the stroller issue either way.

I would recommend the bus for the reasons previously stated except when leaving after the fireworks, because the lines can be very long at that time of night. Linda

Thank you so much for all of your posts. We will definitely plan to take the Bus to MK! I'll just have to load DH with all of the bags for that part of it!
