CSR: To Far For Afternoon Breaks?

We are staying at CSR and I would really like to do an afternoon break. It will just be DH and myself. Does it take a long time to get back to CSR? I have heard that it is not convenient for breaks? How long does the bus take from hotel to the furthest park as we will be going to all 4?

When we stayed at CSR we took a break almost every afternoon.
CSR does not share buses with other resorts, therefore it is quicker to get back to the resort. Also, there are only 4 bus stops at CSR, which makes it faster to get back to your room. We felt the proximity of CSR to the parks was pretty close; and the CSR bus stop at the parks was close to the park entrance and exits as well.
You're going to love CSR!

I'd like to know as well, since I'll be there in Dec. When I stayed last time I don't recall coming back to the resort.

We are staying for the 7th time. We've never used the buses as we always rent a car. But we constantly see buses coming and going when we drive back for our afternoon break so I don't think you'll have a problem.

We have stayed at CSR the last three years over Christmas. We took afternoon breaks every day using Disney Transport. We found the buses to be excellent, and had no problems at all. :thumbsup2

CSR is 6 / 7 mins from AK, Epcot and DHS and 10 mins from MK. It's perfect for afternoon breaks.

BUS STOPS
Hollywood Studios - Bus Stop 6 (1st stop) - 6 min ride once leaving resort
AK - Bus Stop 8 (middle) - 6 min ride once leaving resort
MK - Bus Stop 10 (1st) - 10 min ride once leaving resort
Epcot - Bus Stop 7 (2nd) - 7 min ride once leaving resort
BB - Bus Stop 6 (middle) - 3 min ride once leaving resort

The farthest trip for us was from MK...was about 10 min. Which I think it's great!

We've gone every year since my kids were 2 & 3. The last couple trips, we've stayed at CSR. We went back to the room for a nap/break/pool time every day that we were there. It seemed very quick and easy to us.

It took us 45-50 minutes to get back from AKL. I was not happy. They stopped at blizzard beach and sat there for 10 minutes. Went back to using the car after that.

ETA:
It's not the travel time that takes long. It's the bus wait time that can be painful.

We always drive. But the one year we did use buses (because the kids wanted to), we were able to get to each park within 15 minutes and back from each park within 15 minutes. We never had an issue with the busses.

I took breaks when I was there this past May, and the bus system was great. I never had to wait long for a busl, and the trip back from the parks was not bad at all. As Buzz2001 indicated the MK is the furthest away and is about 10 minutes or so.
I stayed in Casitas 4 so I got off at the first bus stop, which was nice, but the buses do not take long to drop off at the bus stops so even if you are the last stop it would not be that bad.

We stayed at CSR in Aug 2007. DGS8 and I took an afternoon break every day, or almost every day. We had no problem doing that. The bus rides to and from the parks were shorter than I thought they would be. :)

The only bus problem we had, was going from CSR to Typhoon Lagoon in late afternoon. It took an hour to get to Typhoon due to extremely heavy traffic and the fact that we had to go to DTD first.
