I have reservations for CSR in Oct. I would like to get a room in a cabana if possible. Should I call Disney and say I would like to be in a cabana or should I say I would like to be in room numbers x, y, or z? Or does any of this have any effect on where we end up? Anyone that shares their experiences would be appreciated. Thanks.

Unless you have a specific room in mind, you only need to say that you'd like to stay in Cabanas. The CM will tell you that they can't guarantee your request. But it will be noted electronically on your reservation, so that when you check in they'll know your preference and will do their best to accomodate you. Since you're going during a slow time of the year, you shouldn't have any problem getting what you want.

Yes, call and have a building request added to your reservation.

Here are some good choices.

Cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site (main pool) over the wooden bridge. (Most convenient location and most preferred)

Cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site (and playground) and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building. (Closest to the Pool)

Cabana 8b and 9a are in between the 2 above. 9a has a quiet pool.

Ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a.

Casita 3 has great courtyard and fountain views but you will have to walk or ride the internal shuttle to get to the pool.

Casita 5 has some nice fountain and lake views and is close to the Dig Site but farther from the main building.

Buzz - you confirmed my research (of course alot of that was from your site) and put it in a concise manner. Thanks.

By chance do you know an 800 number for group reservations? (Can't call long distance from work).
