CSR - Requests?

I have never stayed at this resort. I'll be there Dec. 15-19 standard view. What should I request to be close to El Centro? Are the Casitas or Cabanas better? Are the Ranchos nice enough to be worth the walk? Are king bed rooms ever given as upgrades for free? Thanks for any help.

If you check out the map on my website, you will see which buildings are closest to El Centro. I think they are casitas 1 & 3 and cabana 9b. As far as which section is better, the pictures on my site may help you decide. It depends on your taste. The casitas have beautiful garden and fountain courtyards while the cabanas have white sand beaches. THe ranchos give you more of the arrid desert feel with large boulders and cactus. Upgrades have been given. I have never requested a waterview room but have always received one at check-in.
