CSR or CBR with a 6yr. old?

I want to take a weekend trip,checking in next Friday 4/20. I live in FL so we take short trips more often than longer ones. I like POFQ for a moderate resort but we are going back in September and they have AP discounted rooms at CBR and CSR for that weekend. I'm leaning more towards CSR but it's only for a couple nights so I'm sure either one would be nice. I've seen pictures of both online but I'm just looking for opinions from anyone who has stayed at them. It will be myself,Dh and Dd6. We will be driving so the spread out resorts shouldn't be much of an issue. Thanks!

I believe your 6 year old would like the pool at CBR better and when a child eats at CBR the get their meal in a sand bucket. Not as spread out as CSR. For as little as preferred is I would try for that.

How tall is your DD, and how adventurous is she? CSR was DD9's favorite resort when she was 6 - she loved the pool slide, the playground and watching the turtles, bunnies, and even the alligator when walking through the resort.

The CSR slide is fast and open - it is great for elementary and older kids. The slide empties into 3 1/2 feet of water. CBR has a nice pirate ship splash area, but I have read the maximum height is 48 inches, and my DD was taller than that at six years old. CBR also has a zero entry pool if your DD is not a great swimmer or is a little tentative. If she is more adventurous, she would probably love the CSR slide. It was hard getting my DDs off the slide and back to the parks in the evening when they were 6 and 9.

CBR still has double beds if that matters to you. CSR has queen beds.

If you pick CSR, I'd recommend requesting the cabanas section. It is a non-preferred location, close to the Dig Site but not that far from the main building. You could always drive to the main building if necessary, but my kids enjoy walking along the paths and looking for animals.
