CSR no available rooms, help!

Hey everyone!

Im trying to switch my Dec 2nd to 8th resort reservations from POFQ to CSR, unfourtunetly they are out of ALL standard rooms. My only choice is to get a king bed for $200 extra, but that just doesnt seem worth it. Does anyone have any advice on what to do? (This is my very first WDW trip) Has anyone else had any luck on calling back and finding a cancelation?

You might want to keep your room at POFQ, the dates you are looking at are during POP Warner week. In the past their moderate choice had been the POR with the over flow to the POFQ. Last year, because the rehab at the POR was going on so they stayed at the CSR for their moderate. With the rooms redone at the POR chances are pretty good they will not be at the POR and POFQ this year, but will be at the CSR again.
The POFQ is a great resort, it compact all of the buildings are close to the main building and its a nice walk over to the POR if you want to use the pool at the POR.

I would take helenk's advice -- it sounds like a good idea esp. if the resort is going to be taken over by a large group and this is your first trip. And, I gotta be honest with you, although I thought CSR was gorgeous and really loved it, my DH did not. Well, I finally found out why. He said due to the fact that it is a convention site, seeing all of the conventioners walking around took some of "the magic" of the trip out of it for him. (He had previously stayed at CBR and the old Dixie Landings as a kid (now POFQ and POR) , and had always maintained that Disney magic. I actually feel bad for making him go there, as it was all me on that one

I looked up the Pop Warner info online and it seems that they will be there from Dec. 2nd to Dec. 8th, same dates I will be there, just my luck. I read that they will be spread across all the Value and Mod resorts and to get ready for lots of noise, horseplay and fights. I really hope it wont be as bad as I read.

CSR's rooms are just so beautifully done and the grounds are so great. But maybe it was meant for us to stay at POFQ.

Pop Warner stayed at CBR last year, not CSR.
