CSR - Has anybody paid for the "prefered" location...

Hi -

Has anybody stayed at CSR and requested the "prefered" location and thought it was a waste of $$$.

I really want to be located in the cabanas section as we don't want to have to walk forever to get to the main dig site and Pepper Market. My husband questioned if CSR was going to be to large, but I talked him into CSR so I kind of want to "guarantee" (I know there are no guarantees) that we will within a short walking distance to everything. I was kind of thinking that by requesting the "prefered" location I might get a better shot.

What are your opinions on this? Thanks for your help!

To my knowledge, CSR has no preferred rooms. The only moderate that has preferred rooms is at CBR. I stayed at Cabanas twice and never paid extra to be in that section.

The price difference at CSR is based on the room type/view, not the location.
Standard view is one price; water view or king bed is a higher price; I would think if you got a water view with a king bed, that'd just be two perks for the price of one.
Just ask for a room in your chosen location. The worst that can happen is there won't be one available, and you'll be further away. No problem - CSR has an internal bus system just to get you to other bus stops inside the resort, and may even have golf carts riding around that you can flag down.

I think you're talking about preferred VIEW not location. I think the OP was asking about location. Some resorts do have preferred location. So what the OP was asking if it's worth it to pay extra to have a preferred location. If I am not mistaken, CSR does not have preferred location.

CBR is the only moderate with a preferred location option. There are different views that you can pay extra for at CSR but not for locations.
