CSR Business Class Review

I disagree. For $125 ($25 for 5 nights), I could've put together a KILLER spread of good things I actually like from Disney. Main Street Confectionery, Boardwalk Bakery, etc provide delicious pastries, Mickey sugar cookies, Chip and Dale pretzels, cheese plate from France, cupcakes. You know, good stuff! Not generic, and I must say, rather unappetizing looking stuff! This was my 16th Disney trip. I know good Disney food and CSR BC doesn't provide it! Next time I will make my OWN snack lounge!

But, I agree. Worth it for location alone. Just don't have too high expectations of the lounge.
Thing is, the lounge food and location aren't the only things different about BC. The rooms are slightly nicer too, with upgraded mattresses, tile floors and additional shelving in the vanity area, wood crown molding, a Blu-ray/DVD player, and bathrobes.

I would never expect the food in the Business Class lounge at a moderate resort to equal the offerings at the Boardwalk Bakery and the France pavilion at Epcot.

Similarly, they stopped offering bottled water years ago, and I'm fairly sure CL at Deluxe doesn't have it either. People would literally take armloads of them.

CL at a Deluxe has higher class food, it is true. It is also more than a $25 differential. I don't think Disney has ever oversold the perks of CSR business class as being like CL at a Deluxe. The key perks of CSR business class is a guaranteed building location, cereal, coffee and yogurt in the AM, and cheap beer and cookies in the evening -- provided conveniently, as opposed to shopping all over WDW campus and bringing it back yourself. The sangria is the same stuff they serve in the on-site bars at CSR (at $9/pop!).

Yes, you could bring in your own snacks, cereal, and fruit. You could pick up snacks during your daily park wanderings. Even CL doesn't offer significantly more at breakfast (better pastries, mostly), or replace certain forms of park snacking.

I haven't seen much apologizing for Disney so much as the question of "What were you realistically expecting?"

Good luck on getting Disney food that cheap:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

I just looked, and I can't see where business class is only $25 more than a regular room. More like $75.:confused3

Depends on the season. I compared pricing to Preferred, not Standard, though, as it is more comparable. While you can certainly book Standard and request 9A, you may still land in Ranchos. So I see the building guarantee of BC as being comparable to Preferred, not Standard.

As to the 25 dollars...that was the difference when we booked in May 2015 for rooms in early Dec 2015.

We just spent a week at CSR business class from 12/21 - 12/27.

We found the extra fee for BC to be well worth it since there were 4 of us to the room. I was a little concerned at first since we are RD people during such a busy time of year and MK EMH was at 7 AM. The lounge didn't open until 7 which meant we only used the lounge several mornings. However, we ended up using it in the evening hours more than I had anticipated. No, the selection at breakfast isn't as great as what we experience at a hotel like the Hampton Inn. But, it was suitable. The yogurt and granola was nice as well as the bagels. The evening selection was nice too.

The location was also very nice and I don't believe any of the rooms face a parking lot. So, you don't have to pay for a better view/location. We had just a standard bc room and had a nice view of one of the front ponds. The building was extremely quiet. Our housekeeping was great. She even left a nice red bow in our room over our window on Christmas day. We met her before we left and she was such a pleasant person who you could tell really cared about making the guest's experience wonderful.

We would certainly stay at CSR again and pay the little extra for business class.
