CSR-Best Rate you paid for JAN?

We are seriously re-thinking our January 2004 after we enjoyed CSR so much last week. I am wondering what is the best rate you paid for CSR for January--we will be going in value season and have APs.

Right now we are booked at AKL & BWI concierge for 8 nights, but are considering take an 11-12 night trip if we can stay at CSR for about 8-9 nights, then switch over to AKL for the last couple of nights. Our tentative travel dates would now be Jan 7-18th.

We went in January 2001 with an AP discount and I believe that for our king room (same as a waterview) we paid around $115/night with tax. The base rate was I believe $104/night.

I think the moderates were even lower than that. We went in peak season and had a FL Res rate of $109 plus tax (which was thought was well worth it). Jan is value sason. Sometimes CSR is not included in the discounts, but I remember this being in the fall months. The mod discounts during value season have been $74, $79, $84.

in January a couple years ago and I think we paid around 89 plus tax. Not too bad! Have a great trip. I would definitely go for a longer trip at a less expensive resort! dawn

We paid $79 for POR in Nov/Dec - this was the AP rate for the moderates during that value season. Don't know if it would be good for Jan., though.

Thanks for the replies, everyone! We just got back & paid $84/night for a standard view room--got lucky & were upgraded to a Jr. Suite at check-in.

I was thinking since we went during regular season this year and paid $84 with an AP rate, that the price would be a little lower during value season if we got an AP rate then.

I guess it might be pretty close to what we paid, which I think is a great rate. Thanks again!
