People either seem to love it or hate it here. I never took much interest until I came across some amazing pics and started to read up on it.

Which accomodations area do people like the best?
Do they have king-sized beds?
Any preferred views worth mentioning?
Is it really as "convention-y" as described?

Which theme parks or attraction (like DTD) is it closest to?

Is it great for a couple in their early/mid 30's?

My husband and I stayed here for our 10th anniversary (I was 33, DH was 34). We absolutely fell in love with it.

The grounds are gorgeous and serene. I think what some people don't like is the size, but I though this was one of the best features. With everything spread out, you don't feel crowded. We don't have kids and don't plan to and we really value peace and quiet and we had it in abundance. Our stay was soooo relaxing. It was lovely to come back in the evenings from the parks and take a quiet stroll around the lake before heading to bed. It was quite romantic too. :)

The resort was near capacity due to the conventions, but you couldn't tell. I did not find the resort to be "convention-y" at all. The only time we saw the convention attendees was in the evening while walking to Pepper Market to fill up our mugs before turning in. They were near the lounge or just outside with drinks. The bus system is awesome and the busses were never crowded.

We plan on staying at CSR pretty much exclusively for future trips (unless we try out renting DVC points some time).

Oh, and we had a king bed with a lake view room. Was lovely!

I would say it is closest to the Studios, with Animal Kingdom a close second as far as distance. Please see your private messages with more details.

So you guys stayed in a king sized bed room-which area was your room located?

and how long was the bus rides to the parks? Was there a bus to DTD?

That is GREAT to hear people comment that it was peaceful and quiet. I was concerned about loud drunk convention-goers at night. I absolutely cannot fall asleep with loud drunk people in the background. I'd rather have a family with 5 kids next door to me because I know they will likely go to sleep early.

I'd also like to hear more about the spa services they offer-any info?

Check out my CSR website below for pics and info.

Which accomodations area do people like the best? most like the cabanas for the location, casitas for the fountains and courtyards and ranchos for the peacefulness.

Do they have king-sized beds? 124 king bed rooms

Any preferred views worth mentioning? CSR only has waterview or standard view but cabana 9b is considered to preferred to many DIS'ers.

Is it really as "convention-y" as described? Not at all. They are busy during the day and leave the pools and buses less crowded. I've been there 9 times with my tenth trip coming up in 32 days, never any issues with convention guests or any guests for that matter. I don't get the feeling that they cater to covention guests at all.

Which theme parks or attraction (like DTD) is it closest to? CSR is very close to Epcot, MGM and AK and a 10 min ride to MK.

Is it great for a couple in their early/mid 30's? Perfect! They just opened an new lounge with live entertainment, the resort is gorgeous at night and very romantic for taking strolls around the lake or hanging out on the hammocks.

Depending on what you want to be close to, here are some good building choices.

Cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site (main pool) over the wooden bridge (most convenient location and most preferred).

Cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site (and playground) and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building (closest to the pool).

Cabana 8b and 9a are in between the 2 above. 9a has a quiet pool (and is the old smoking optional building).

Ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a.

Casita 1 is attached to the main building and is very close to the restaurants.

Casita 3 has great courtyard and fountain views but you will have to walk or ride the internal shuttle to get to the pool.

Casita 5 has some nice fountain and lake views and is close to the Dig Site but farther from the main building. Close to bus stop #2.

Make your room request as soon as you make your reservation. It’s never too early.
