CSR - Attending Disney Institute Conference

Help!! A colleague and I will be attending the Disney Institute for a course. We are very excited about the trip and the course!! Instead of staying at the Boardwalk and sharing a room, we are each staying in our own room at CSR. POR and the Beach Club are my favorite resorts but they were all booked up for our dates so this was the other option available. I have a few questions:

#1) Where to stay?? What would you recommend if you like it a bit quieter, prefer to be near the foodcourt and don't want to walk for 10 miles to catch the bus?? We are renting a car but may use the bus.
We have asked for adjacent rooms but are flexible.

#2) Does each room have it's own Heat-A/C unit (I like them to drown out noises)?.

#3) Any idea how long to drive from CSR to the Boardwalk?

#4) Any other thoughts or ideas??

We are renting a car but may use the bus. We have asked for adjacent rooms but are flexible. The ranchos are the mosr remote section of the resort. They have their own bus stop but is about 7-10 min walk to the main building. Cabanas are also nice, close to both the bus stop and main building. Casitas are also close to the main building and bus stops.

#2) Does each room have it's own Heat-A/C unit (I like them to drown out noises)?. CSR rooms have central air units that are whisper quiet. No noise drowning with these.

#3) Any idea how long to drive from CSR to the Boardwalk? 10 minutes.

#4) Any other thoughts or ideas?? check out my website below
