CSR and CBR Question

Is CSR as spread out as CBR? I just got done looking at the maps of both, and it looks like both resorts have buildings way out there from the food court.

Can any one reccommend an area to request at each resort that is convenient to the food court and main pool please?

Also, are there more cons for one over the other?

I have stayed at both and I feel that CSR is more spread out than CBR.

We like CBR better because the main pool is next to the food court and marina area, it is a longer walk at CSR.

At CBR Martinique and Trinidad North are considered preferred locations costing extra to stay there. Lots of people like to stay at Jamaica across the lake.

The pool at CSR is better but we like the theming at CBR much more.

Rooms are bigger at CBR. CSR has high speed internet that CBR doesn't have.

CSR is as spread out as CBR but you can ustilize the bus service to get from the main building to the other sections if you end up in a section you feel is too far.

Theme park buses go:
2 - Casitas
3 - Ranchos
4 - Cabanas
1 - El Centro

Downtown Disney buses, as well as Park Exit buses go:
1 - El Centro
2 - Casitas
3 - Ranchos
4 - Cabanas

CSR buses go in this order so that guests can hop on board a theme park bus and take it to the main building. They can then hop on a DTD bus to get back to their rooms.

cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site over the wooden bridge

cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building.

cabana 8b and 9a are inbetween the 2 above.

ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a.

The casitas are close to the gym, spa and have great fountains and courtyards. casita 5 is close to the Dig Site with a good walk to the main building. The lower the casita number the closer towards the main building. Casita 4 & 5 are near bus stop 2.

Like safetymom, a lot of people like Jamaica which include us

We have stayed in Jamaica, Bldg. 45 last time and are requesting that same area in January. We LOVED the location!!! It is a 1-2 minute walk to Jamaica's pool (with laundry facilities), the beach with hammocks and a playground right in front of our building. And you can see firewaorks at night while laying on the hammocks - so romantic!!!

Also, it was only a 5 minute walk over a couple of footbridges with beautiful scenery to get to the main pool and the Old Port Royale food court.

The best part of it - the bus picks up at Jamaica (bus stop was about a 3 minute walk from our room) first almost every time which is very convenient so there is less time waiting and less time standing. Hope this info helps!!!

I have stayed at both resorts and I think CBR is more spread out than CSR. From what I can remember, it took us much longer to bike around the lake at CBR than at CSR. And I feel that CBR is more spread out cause I think it has a lot of stops before heading out to the parks.

Thank you all for your input!! I am leaning towards CBR, but my Dparents are paying, and I bet they lean towards CSR

One other thing to note about CBR: Their registration/guest services/bellservice building (Custom House) is at the entrance of the resort and not close to the majority of guest rooms or Port Royale (restaurants, theme pool). So if you need to see guest services for some reason or want to hail a cab be prepared for a bit of a walk.

There is an internal bus at CBR if you need to go to the Custom House or want to go to Old Port Royale to eat or swim. No need to walk.
