Colors
I can't make up what colors I want so I patch up several colors that I thought look cute together. So I think our wedding is not going to be all 2 colors... LOL!!!

I love your color selections. Very elegant.

I brought pictures of things that I liked that I could give to Carol and Rose (if you're doing your flowers with Disney). I think it helped for them to be able to keep those pictures for reference. Come with a ton of ideas and ask a LOT of questions. Carol is super patient and very knowledgeable. Savor the day b/c really it is the majority of your planning all at one time!

Oh and if you're bringing others dont let them eat all the cake!! I was busy talking to the planner and I looked over and my mom, niece and fiance were chowing down. Save some for me Hahahaha

I'll actually be at the wedding pavilion the 18th so I'll miss you by a week!

PS I LOVE your color ideas! I think all the centerpieces you showed are so beautiful and simple. I love that.

i think it is great to go with more then two colors. it will make it look very "rich"and beautiful. i also thik tou could do a mix of cernterpieces they are all great!
like others have said disney will help with all that. they do have alot of ideas

You guys are so sweet....

Only 9 days left before the session and I got the questionaire in but not the menu tasting.
We both got stuck on the menu... because we both have different ideas on what's good food... LOL!! His is more along the line of bland and take out food (burger, chix fingers, etc.). I'm a foodie ... which makes this harder than we both thought.

So we just went basic.
I emailed my planner on a list of food we like... the theme is East meets West and she emailed the list to the chef and they came back with a GREAT list...
Now we just have to tweak it to make sure I know exactly what they are...

And we are planning to have about 30 people.
At first we were told that we have to pay min of 50 people to have buffet but she just told me that we can have the buffet for however many people we want... wooohooo!!!

In our buffet currently we have all 3 meats (beef, chicken and fish) so our total is pretty high. $108 including the cocktail hour.
But that also includes 2 dessert items for DP... so I think we're going to negotiate that somehow during the session.

I'm SO excited!!!
Now I just make sure that my parents don't have any rules about having buffet during weddings

I would love to hear what your menu consists of. DBF is Vietnamese and I am Italian/French/Polish. If we were to have a Wishes wedding, we would probably want something like that.

Talking about busy day...
We woke up at 4:45 for me to get ready my hair trial with Ana. She's hilarious...LOL!!! I love working with her. The trial took longer than expected because she's so nice and worked with me until I was happy with everything...

Then we had to take a cab to GF for our engagement session with Nathan and Jensey. They are sooooo sweet... OMG... we (DF and I) were giggling like highschoolers... I hope we don't look like trhat on the pictures...
We can't wait to work with them on the big day.

And hour and a half later we met Heidi at Franck's for site visit. She took us backstage to the AA Parlor and then to Italy West. AAP really was plain pastel pink. I am not very good at imagining color combination so I hope the colors we picked were good.

Next came the tasting... we went to the event services building and the nice chef and helper over there were so sweet and set up the table with an asian flair... it was so cool. Unfortunately they weren't our color... I was tempted to change color then and there but it wasn't our style at all.

The food was good... but unfortunately not great. Carol and her asst came. We had the wonderful mushroom risotto from Le Cell, salmon with sundried tomato sauce really good, and the desserts were to die for. But the rest of the dishes were just ok... I think it's because I was expecting a lot... we changed a bunch of the menu during the tasting and I am crossing my fingers that everything comes out great in April. I still haven't posted the final menu because we have none yet... I will do it once it's done...

Afterwards the planning session... dear lord... was that a headache session... LOL!! \I was NOT the girl to pick flowers and decor... Rose was a sweetie. I hope she didn't get out of it tearing her hair out...
2 things I absolutely hated price wise:
1. Chair covers, linens etc... the price was just outrageous. Good thing we are only having a small wedding. I can't imagine doing so with 100 guests.
2. Transportation... OMG!!!! There was just no way for us to get around hiring a bus for 6 stinkin hours... what a royal waste of $.

Cake tasting was just ok... our favorite was marble with raspberry and chocolate with white choc mousse. So those 2 are our 2 layered cake.

Man... after all that we are wiped!

We've been awake since 4:45 and finally finished at 4.

Then we ate dinner, went back to the room for a nap.

At 8 we went back to Italy west to catch illumination. The funny part was when we got there we couldn't watch it anyways because there was a DP underway for a huge group. Not a wedding just a huge group that took both isola and italy west. So we just hovered to see if the view is ok. We are both very happy with the view. We think we picked pretty good.
