While in Disney in August, we discovered that for us, it's important to schedule a counter service meal at a location that is air conditioned. The heat this August was stifling, and the one time we ate at a cs venue with only outdoor seating (Yak and Yeti), it was a disaster. We were too hot to enjoy our food, even though we were sitting in the shade. Also, the outdoor trash containers attract yellow jackets. We quickly learned a new rule for us: Air conditioning is a MUST for counter service meals; there is no way for us to enjoy our food and get a much-needed rest if we are still overheated and sweating!
) We lucked out @ the MK. When we went to get our traditional Dole Whip, it was around 6:00 pm. Hardly anyone was in the area and we sat at tables nearby with a lovely fan cooling us off. That was great. But we did seek out the A/C when choosing a spot.
