CS/QS credits for snacks?

I'll start by saying I'm not trying to work the system -- if it's not allowed, that's fine with me

I thought I remembered reading, though, that you could use the CS/QS credits for one or two snacks instead of a meal. Is that true? I'll be going in January and I believe we will have several credits left over (we are more table service people, and I wouldn't have gotten the DDP at all if not for the fact we were taking my DH's parents and we've billed this as "all inclusive" -- there is no way they would let us just pay OOP for each of their meals).

Anyway, I see us paying OOP for a couple of extra TS meals, and we will probably split some CS/QS meals so we may have extra at the end. Can I use some of those to pick up, say mickey rice crispy treats, at the end?

At some of the CS locations (typically hotel shops, like where they have assorted groceries) that also has snacks, a CS credit can sometimes be used for a few snacks. There is no policy about that, and you may encounter a difference experience when you ask about it yourself.

When we went in Nov., my parents had several cs credits left the morning we were leaving. We ate at the Pepper Market at CSR and they little store where they sell snacks and sandwiches said they could use 1 credit to equal a sandwich and a drink or 1 cs credit could buy 3 snack items (bag of chips, pastry, rice krispie treat, 20 oz drink, fruit, etc.) We got so much stuff the very nice cm at the register threw in an extra rice krispie treat just to get rid of us . Please keep in mind, that this was what we experienced and you may not get the same response.

Also, keep in mind that (rumor is) beginning next year you may not be allowed to use more credits during a single meal period than are people on your reservation, so don't leave credits all to the end.

We just came home Friday. We had 2 CS credits left and we were in the Pop food court awaiting our ride. I asked if we could use the CS credits for snacks as we were getting ready to go home and had no time to sit down and eat a CS meal and we were told we could get 1 snack item per credit. So we just got a container of sliced apples with Caramel and a bottle of lemonade for those 2 credits. Yes I guess we lost money on that one but we definately made our money through out the week.
