CS options at MGM

Sorry, but without the search function I'm lost! What are the good choices and the bad choices at MGM? We are going late August and want someplace air conditioned (adults and young children). We have never eaten CS at MGM; we always end up at 50s PT, so I have no idea what's good.

You'll get varying reports of what's good and what's bad because it's all subjective, but two quick, air conditioned CS's are Pizza Planet (it's also an arcade) and the ABC Commissary.

I think that the only good CS in MGM is Starring Rolls Bakery. The others just are not good.

Personally I think that Pizza Planet is the worst CS in all of WDW. The CS options aren't great at MGM at all. The ABC Commissary or the Flatbread Grill are better.

YMMV of course.

We liked Backlot Express last year but I don't believe it's air conditioned. We sat outside at a nice quiet table in the shade in June and it was just fine.

Thanks to all for the advice. None of the choices look great (allearsnet.com menus), but we will need to eat someplace!

I agree that none are very good. We stick to the turkey legs while at MGM

We've eaten at the Commisary (I didn't much like it) once and last year, we ate at Pizza Planet and I liked that better. I thought I was the only one who didn't really like MGM's counter service places. My dh doesn't seem to mind them at all! lol

I love the Turkey legs from Toluca Turkey Legs and the frozen lemonades from Anaheim Produce.

The turkey legs are the best in MGM, but it is definitely not air conditioned. ABC Commissary is air conditioned, and it's ok. Pizza Planet is a little better, but it's a bit louder, as it's also an arcade--but it can be fun for kids to let off steam playing video games while the adults relax! Backlot Express is probably my other favorite besides the turkey legs, but it is not air conditioned either.
