Last time when we went to Disney we fell in love with Cosmic Ray's and Tangerine. Both are considered CS's on the DDP, however when looking at the menus for our upcoming October Trip, HOLY COW they are very expensive!

Do these restaurants offer limited menus for those using DDP credits to eat there? Would we get more variety and different, less costly, restaurants?

Thanks in advance!!

No. Everybody orders from the same menu. You want expensive CS? Try the Pepper Market at Coronado Springs. The $18 (or so) ribeye steak is included as a Counter Service meal.

Thanks! I wasn't looking for expensive persay, but I was looking to eat at my favorite places. I was shocked to see how much they cost though. I must have expensive taste. :lmao:

Keep in mind, though, that individual eateries could someday exclude the more expensive entrees from the Dining Plan. This happened to use twice (I think) during our trip in February, including at Tangierine Cafe.

Thanks for letting me know that Bicker. How do the restaurants who exclude certain items handle it? Does it say on the menu that the items are not included on the dining plan?

My mom is horribly indecisive and is always the last one to decide what she's eating anyway. If we got up front and her item wasn't on the dining plan she may imlode at the thought of having to make a snap decision what to eat. :rotfl:

We introduced ourselves, by saying, "We're on the Dining Plan," and they replied, "Great, you can have any entree on that list except for the top one."

My recommendation: Prepare her for the possibility, at each eatery. Better to plan for the worst and be delighted than plan for the best and suffer an implosion! :)

Can anyone eat at pepper market? or do you have to be staying at that resort? Thanks.

I had read somewhere that the rotisserie chicken was excluded at Tangierine...do you know if anything else was?

Thanks for the memory jogger; someone just asked in another thread what the actual exclusion was and couldn't remember. I do remember, specifically, the CM saying that there was just the one entree exclusion.

Also, remember that only one of the desserts is available on the Dining Plan at Tangierine Cafe.

I don't know about exclusions at CS but at Teppanyaki there was one that included the lobster combo.

Not that I can recall, we've had the steak and the sampler at PM, the Chicken/Ribs combo at Cosmic Rays and the Sampler at Tangerine.
