CS near Beach Club

There is Hurricane Hannahs that has burgers and sandwiches and stuff. Great booze drinks too!

don't forget, epcot is just a short walk away if you have the tickets/time. its not that bad, and dumps you right into world showcase, so especially uk/france are close.

We stayed at the Yacht Club last year, and one of my complaints was the lack of CS there. Hurricane Hanna's is IMO a bar that has a few items of food available. Beaches and Cream is a TS, and I thought that the food they had at the BC Marketplace was less than desirable. Going to Epcot for their CS is a good idea, as long as you don't mind using a ticket for the day, or the walk/boat ride. The only CS I found on the Boardwalk was the Boardwalk Bakery, but that was more bakery goods, not a lunch/dinner menu. I never saw the Spoodles pizza window, but that may be another choice for a CS close to the BC.

We just got back from BC (July 12 - 20) and I too had a hard time finding a CS other than Hurricane Hanna's, BC Marketplace, and the Boardwalk Bakery. I did try the Spoodles pizza window and was informed that they were not part of the dining plan. We had no problem using our snack or TS credits but had a very hard time using CS credits. Part of our problem is we would go to a park in the am and leave between 12:00 - 2:00. We were so hot that we were not hungry before we left the park. We would get back to BC, go swimming, cool down and then we were hungry. Our other problem we had was we were sick of the limited menus from Hurrican Hanna's and BC Marketplace. We had eaten at each several times and wanted something else. I believe you will have more luck finding CS in the parks than you do around the hotels.

Thank you for these posts.

I'm a widowed mom staying w/ my 2 kids 15 and 10 for the first time at YC, thatnx to a great upsell rate they offered when I booked. Now I'm wondering if it's such a good idea with the absence of a food court - which my kids are used to from their previous stays at WL and POR.

Now it seems there are only Boardwalk Bakery, HH and BCMP to use CS credits and after a week some of you had a bit of frustration.

I know every family is different, but should I be trying to change resorts at this point? If they'd even let me??

We're used to stopping off at the food court before returning to our room for a mug refill or snack - or having a CS before we leave our resort area. Sometimes we all split a CS at the end of the day if we had an early TS.

Any thoughts???

I share your frustration with the CS service around YC/BC. We will be staying at BC for the first time in August and it is my one concern.

When is your trip? I would think with kids your age that the location and the pool area will more than make up for dealing with CS selection. But if you wouldn't really be using the pool, if you don't love Epcot or MGM, then maybe it isn't so great.

I know you can refill your mugs at the Beach Club Marketplace and depending on the type of late night snack you want...I have heard nothing but rave reviews of the gelato at BCM.

For actually splitting a CS snack at night, I think that you would just need to have that in mind when you are touring and get that before you leave the park, or if you have park hoppers, walk on over to Epcot for a bite to eat.

I'm a BIG fan of BC Marketplace (not just their gelato, either). I think it's a great place with lots of CS options. Lots of people take their food and eat either at the tables outside or in the solarium. There are only about 4 tables in the BC Marketplace, but they're almost always empty, so you wouldn't have any problem if you want to eat there.

There isn't a menu for BCM on the Dis. What do you like to eat there? Do you remember what their hours are? Specifically, how late are they open?:confused3

You WILL have a good time at the Beach Club! You just may have to change your "previous modus operandi" to something that fits the BC a bit more. Or just enjoy Hurricane Hanna's by the pool..... Gosh, I don't think you should change resorts! Just realize that you may need to rethink CS meal times.... who knows? You may LOVE the BC Marketplace (like the other poster does), and you may LOVE Hurricane Hanna's and not get bored with the offered fare. You won't know until you GO!!!:goodvibes

Then you can report back how you liked CS options at BC.....
BTW, what rate did you get at BC?

lol - I hijacked the thread - sorry..!! - then didn't return for many hours..

(posted on the resorts boards and picked THEIR brains, too..)

We are going 8/16-8/26 - we're used to August - LOL!

I know we will not starve. I was looking at my maps wrong and didn't realize that BC is right there! Have the marketplace menu and if there is gelato to be had anywhere at all - we shall have it!!!

We got an excellent rate for MYW 10days PHE with paid DDP for 3 of us - plus the YC at less than I was being quoted for POR for the same 10 days. Lasyt year we went for FDP and I just got the hang of it. Different resorts is a change for all of us - but I do think we will do fine.

Thanx sooo much!!!:cloud9:

We're going to be there in Aug too, and the CS options didn't look bad to me. If you check the food porn thread, the sandwiches and salads at the BC Marketplace look meal worthy, plus there is Hurricane Hannah's for during the day and the Boardwalk Bakery just up the way. And if you have hoppers, there's always World Showcase.

When I've been there (last in January), they've always been open until 11:00. It gets a little busy around 10:00 with the post-Illuminations people, but nothing like B&C. I like their roast beef and brie, grilled beggie wrap, clam chowder (I don't see it on the menu, but I know I've had it there), macaroon and coconut bar, and of course, the GELATO!

We stayed at BCV in June. At night the counter service is limited. DH just went to EPCOT for us. He brought back fish and chips. He was gone less than 15 minutes.
