CS for MNSSHP

What CS meal would you recommend for MNSSHP? This is our ONLY visit to a park this trip! Just a quick drop by before our cruise.

We really want to maximize our time for attractions. We plan to eat a late lunch (2pm) at Whispering Canyon and get to MK at 4pm. We either want a CS meal worth our time to sit down and eat (something yummy!) Or a CS meal that we can take and eat while we wait/watch the parade. Please make recommendations for both options! Thanks!

We want to use our CS credits because we will be getting the DDP--otherwise we probably would just get by with snacks--but I don't want to waste our CS credits.

When we went to MNSSHP in 2207 we ate at Cosmic Ray's starlight cafe. Its quick service with lots of lines you can go through so it really is quick, plus they have an entertainment stage. While we were eating Stitch and another character- I can't remember who it was- performed on the stage. My kids loved it. We are going back this septemeber and my oldest keeps reminding me to make sure we go back to this counter service restaurant. The other thing that is great about it is there is outside seating available as well.
It serves typical fast food burgers, chicken sandwiches and nuggets and fries.

Really? Maybe we just had a bad experience at Cosmic Ray's last time. The entertainment was a plus, but it was sooo crowded and the food wasn't worth the wait. One nice thing though was the service when my DS fell off a chair and hit his chin and started crying. A CM came right over and asked if he was okay, then brought him a cookie. How nice.

If you are planning to eat on the later side near parade time you won't have as many choices as normally there are only some CS places that stay open during the parties. I don't know if the list stays the same year to year but I know in the past that impacted on our decision to eat CS at our resort before the party.

We did Cosmic Rays for our first MNSSHP and liked it. Had a wide variety to choose from. Was very crowded though.

Last year we went to Pecos Bill and I enjoyed it. Can't remember if DH did. But I had the taco salad and anything taco I love. The parade was going on while we ate and several people were eating outside (if I am remembering correctly) to get a better view.

Cosmic Rays can be crowded during MNSSHP because it is pretty much one of the only counter service restaurants where you can sit inside and eat. Plus, they have Stitch's dance party in there that attracts a lot of little ones who want to dance with Stitch. The rest of the CS places that have food during the party are really limited to food carts and such. Food options are VERY VERY limited during MNSSHP. We ate at Cosmic Ray's this past year during the party and had a very good experience with food. Huge portions, and options there other than burgers! Some of the choices there were half rack of ribs with two sides, drink and dessert. Half a chicken, 2 sides, drink and dessert. Sandwich lines (chicken and beef and veggie burgers) with sides, drink and dessert. Pretty good option if you are using the dining plan. We couldn't begin to finish the amount of food we got. Also, pecos bills was open and they have fairly decent food as well!! I can't be as specific as to what your options will be because we didn't eat there this past time, but its always been good in the past. Hope this helps!!
