Where have you been successful getting an extra drink instead of a dessert at the counter service restaurants? I heard you could do this at some locations, and I would much rather get an additional bottle of water then a dessert at most of the places I eat.

Even specific counter service locations don't have this as a rule, so just because someone else was able to get a drink in place of their dessert doesn't mean you will be able to do the same thing, even at the same restaurant. It might actually come down to whether or not the cashier you get is willing to let you make the substitution. Really, all you can do to be sure is ask when you get there.

Ive always been able to switch a drink for a dessert at pofq food court
Switched a yogurt for dessert at cosmic rays
switched for a bottle of water at pinnochio haus
