So how are the CS meals in the different coutries? We're looking to just graze our way through and sample something from each country...any suggestions on the best ones to try?

Thanks

Our favorites are:
Tangierine Cafe (Morocco)
Lotus Blossom Cafe (China)
Kringla Bakeri og Cafe (Norway)
Yorkshire County Fish Shop (UK)
Boulangerie Patisserie (France)

We really like the CS in France, you can get a sandwich or quiche and a great dessert for a CS credit.
We also like Mexico, but many here don't care for it.

If all else fails the American pavillion has a nice CS with Hamburgers, Hot Dogs and salads. It is never very busy around 11am - 12pm when it opens.

DH loves the shrimp fried rice in China, the brat and kraut in Germany and I love Tangierine Cafe in Morocco (anything there is out of this world) and the fish (but not the chips) in England

Tangierine in Morocco has a chicken and lamb sharwarma platter that is a really good sampler plate to share -- I think it had hummus, and a tabbouleh salad, some pita-type bread, and the grilled chicken and lamb. DH and I shared it and loved it.

Did not like the CS in Mexico at all :sad2: We are from CA, though, and really picky about Mexican food, so maybe it's just us -- but it seemed like it was a step down from Taco Bell.

Kringla Bakery was interesting. We shared a soup/sandwich combo that came with a small dessert -- not really large enough for a full meal for two people, but definitely a substantial snack if you want to try the flavors of Norway. And we also used a snack credit (we were on the DDP) to get a school bread to split, and DH ordered a Carlsberg...so that about rounded it up to a full lunch for us

The patisserie in France was good -- the CS lunch consisted of two pastries (you can get a savory sandwich type pastry as well as the sweet ones) and a beverage. We cut them in half so we could each try both, bought an extra drink, and we were set. Very good, but not very new and different, still yummy though :goodvibes

We thought about trying Yakitori in Japan, but that one gets wildly mixed reviews -- and just like Mexican food, the authentic teriyaki we can get here locally is so good that we are a bit spoiled. But a couple of the combos look like they would give a good sampler tasting, and the grounds around the place look like it would be a very pretty place to eat.

I've heard great things about the Yorkshire Fish and Chips shop, but DH can't eat fish, so probably will pass that one up. We have reservations for R&C one night, so maybe I'll try the fish and chips there...

Yakitori House- My DS loves this place. We eat there at least once every trip.

Cantina de san Angel- We liked the food here. Not authentic mexican I'm sure, but certainly not Taco Bell IMO.

Lotus Blossom Cafe- Ate here once. Ok. Not bad but not outstanding either.

I love the bratwurst at Sommerfest in Germany.

Last time I was at Disney was around 1975-76 and they were just talking about building Epcot so I've never been to that part yet. The rest of the clan have never been so it will be a new experience for all of us. We have an ADR at the Coral Reef for lunch but for dinner just figured we'd tour and eat. We're not using the DDP so our options are kind open.

I will SO ditto the comment on Cantina and Taco Bell - it is a step down. I always wonder what people are eating at home if they like that stuff!

Personally, I love the bakery in France. The cheese plate is SO good, plenty to share, and cheap. Fish and chips are easy to share and tasty. Tangierine Cafe is my favorite CS in all of WDW so we have to stop and actually split a platter there - I can't pass it up! We've done the eat and drink around the world (though we skip right past USA pavillion) and honestly were only disappointed by the disgusting nachos in Mexico. Other than that, we got what looked tasty at the time and everything was great.

Enjoy yourselves!
