We always eat at the same place at Epcot - burgers for lunch. I've been looking at the countries and was thinking of having a counter service lunch at Germany (for DH) and France (for the girls and me). I was wondering if anyone has eaten at these counter service places - or others that you liked.

We love the UK fish and chips, but am looking for someplace else.

Thanks,

Anna

We ALWAYS go to Sommerfest in Germany. Boulangerie Pattisserie isn't really a place to get actual lunch meals; it's more of a bakery with cheese. Don't go there at the end of the day though, as the food is a little stale.

Having quiche at Boulangerie Pattisserie is a must when I go to Epcot (France); I just returned from a trip in April and used the Disney Dining Plan for the first time; me and my sister both had quiche (two different kinds) a pastry and drink all for CS points.
We love sitting outside and just people watching and the quiche is fabulous.

I think that Mexico is the absolute best counter service place, but that is if you like Mexican food!!!!!! mmmmm. yummy!

Also, I have never been there, but just noticed on my Dining Guide that Tangarine Cafe is a CS place in Epcot and I have seen pictures on here that make it look great! :wizard:

I like Tangiere Cafe in Morocco. I also second the Mexican CS - its yummy! :thumbsup2

Kringla Bakeri Og in Norway!!! :thumbsup2

Open faced turkey or ham sandwich , a salad, a drink, and the desserts =1CS

Sommerfest is very dear to us! The bratwurst is awesome. It's very traditional, just like when we lived in Germany. Also love Kringla Bakeri!!

The hard thing about World Showcase is you get favorites you want to repeat... but there are so many things to try!

So many foods -- so little tummy!

I am another vote for Mexico! I am a very picky eater and I liked everything I had. Very Good!

We got the combo platter. It had a beef burrito, chicken taco, and enchilada. It also came w/ salsa, black beans, lettuce, and tomato on the side. We also got a churro. Everything was very good, not to greasy or spicey. The churro was a little tough, but very tastey. In fact DH was talking about their food the other day.

My DH eats at Somerfest every trip and even twice on our last one, he loves it. I've gotten the ham & cheese croissant from France and it was okay. I do agree that the sandwiches in Norway are very good. I've also tried the Fish & Chips from the UK, but they seemed a little greasy and heavy.

On our last day there, we were trying to use up our CS meals on the dining plan, so we hit several CS places at WS -- every place that we hit was absolutely wonderful.

We had a combo plate in Mexico, bratwurst in Germany, lamb wraps in Morrocco and fish and chips in UK. All were wonderful and I would recommend any of them. We actually took the food from Morrocco and UK on the plane with us -- just ask for take out boxes and they will be more than happy to accomodate you. We got several looks of envy from people on the plane.

We were going to try for Japan, but we ran out of time. :guilty: Maybe next time.
