Soooooo...where do you eat for CS around BC/YC?:confused3

We are staying BC in late August. We are doing the DDP. I found Hurricane Hanna's, but can't find any opinions/reviews. Is it any good?

I need somewhere to eat lunch on arrival day. We just want to hang out by the pool all day before our Citrico's ADR that night. I'd like a decent lunch, but I don't want to go into Epcot that day.

Also, what could we do for breakfast while we are there? I'd love to be able to get a smoothie somewhere, or other grab n go bagels, muffins, etc.

HELP!! TIA!

We stay at BCV and there's no CS like some of the other resorts. There's a small grab and go place but my parents were there in May and were not impressed with the choices. For breakfast there's always Broadwalk Bakery which is usually where we end up. The day we arrive we usually just walk over to Epcot which is a very short walk. Then we either head to the left to get fish-n-chips or to the right to go to the little French cafe. The french place you walk through and they have cases with sandwichs, desserts and a good cheese/cracker platter.

Is Beaches and Cream on the plan for CS? Can you take that food outside to the pool area?

B&C is a TS, not CS choice on DDP. They are one of the restaurants that does not take ADRs.

I may be in the minority here but I like the BeachClub Market....they always have nice sandwiches and salads and a couple of daily specials, a nice selection of desserts, etc. The Boardwalk Bakery has awesome sandwiches and pasteries and the Spoodles Pizza window is right there also if you want pizza...just a little hike or a short boatride from the pool.

Can you use a CS credit at the Spoodles pizza window?:confused3 I know Spoodles is a TS if you were to eat inside.

I know they will not let you do take out from Beaches & Creams. Which we thought was crummy. You can order from Hurricane Hanna's at a table outside by the pool. Haven't tried the food there, but the drinks are great! I think the choices at the Marketplace are fine too. But if you really have a hankering for something better the World Showcase is less than a 5 minute walk. Although you would have to put on something besides your bathing suit to go in!

I'm with you-I LOVE the BC Marketplace! The Roast Beef and Brie sandwich, the macaroon chocolate chip bars, and especially the GELATO!

One reason I prefer BCV to BWV is because of the CS options there. Oh, and I almost forgot the clam chowder, yogurt and granola, and did I mention the gelato?

Hurricane Hanna has great chicken nuggets--really tasty & LOTS of food for the CS credit. BW Bakery has decent breakfast items. You can also go to the BC Marketplace to buy a box of donuts (1 credit) and milk (1 credit)...which served as breakfast at least 2 days for those not watching their wastelines! Sandwiches at BC Marketplace were also quite good...but dont leave out Hannas!!

You, can't get pizza with a snack credit(see confirmed snack list on this site). On this site Spoodles pizza window is listed a CS, however the menu that comes up when you click on the link is for Spoodles TS. The Pizza window menu that comes up on allears.net essentially lists a slice of pizza and a soda for CS items. There is a 16" pizza, but at $17.99 I doubt that is allowable for CS. Also there are no dessert items listed. Alcoholic beverages are listed, but no dessert, go figure.

Good news, the window is open 'til midnight!

Spoodles pizza window is great for lunch or a quick evening snack :)

Spoodles Pizza Window is not listed in the Official 2007 DDP brochure.
I had asked here on the DIS a couple of weeks ago, and a poster replied that it is no longer partaking in the DDP as a CS option.

OK, please enlighten the uninitiated...What is gelato?

I didn't see it in the brochure...what a bummer! I had hoped that somehow it was an oversight that didn't include it in the brochure. Oh well.:sad2:

Ooh I forgot to mention the gelato! So glad you did! It is so yummy!

Technically, gelato is italian for ice cream. What I've had at BC Marketplace & elsewhere is more of a cross between icecream & sorbet. Sort of an icier ice cream or creamier sorbet, if that makes any sense.

I distinctly remember ordering take out at Beaches & Cream from their take out window. Burger and fries, and took it to eat at the pool. This was not Hurricane Hannas. Last year, I ordered it at B&C and walked over to the pool area and ate. Have things changed?

There hasn't been take out of food at Beaches and Cream for a while now, only ice cream.
