I am truly debating which to do... an early 8'o'clock showing of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull? Or the last ever closing party? :confused3

OK Pirate, I voted. You know we are Indiana Jones fans here, so we understand your dilemna. I look at it like this... there will only be one last ever VMK closing. It will come and then be gone, one chance to be there to say goodbye.

The movie will be there. There will be more than one chance to see it. not so with that last closing. Just don't want you to look back and think, "I wish I would have been there."

So close with us, then go see the movie to cheer up. :thumbsup2

I agree, you will have more chances to see the movie but only one final night of VMK closing. You may want to wait it out and see how you feel that day and make your choice then.

I had the same dilemma last night in trying to decide what to do. I will be closing down the Kingdom with my treasured friends, then first showing next day, I will be seeking new treasure with Indy!!!

WOOT!!! Glad I have Harrison Ford to cushion the blow...:headache:

I voted for the Show.

VMK is cool.. But, well, it really depends which you want to go to.

I would go to the movie, because when I see movies, most of them I see.. Rock.

If you are basically just going to hang out with certain people, real friends, DIS friends, etc.. Then.. what would it matter? It's not like saying good-bye to them forever. But I don't know. It depends :scared:

Exactly, and I am a huge Indiana Jones fan too :goodvibes

I voted movie as I bet the last hours will be filled with crashes and so much lag that it will not be much of a good bye. Figure there is this much lag with 3,000 players how bad will it be when everyone tries to get on for the last good bye. Also I think the final good night will just be so heart breaking. To watch you mini me be delete dead at 10:01 PST is just beyond sad. Just writing this is sad.

If disney wanted to make fast cash they could sell mickey kleenex for all over the globe kids big and small will be crying their little hearts out.

ITA. I'm not going anywhere near VMK on closing day.

I expect my last visit will be sometime during the previous weekend. Then, PinokeFan will walk to the Esplanade and just leave VMK for good. That way, he won't even be there for the Virtual Mass Killing -- at least not in my mind.

You would have to think for one second about this?

Yeah, I have this debate within me as well...

Skipping the Last Close for Indiana Jones:

Pro's
  • Going to see Indiana Jones at 8'o'clock the night before it's released.
  • Not having to witness the final moments of PirateEmery's life.
  • Possibly opening up that 15th spot for someone that really wanted to close with the rest of their friends.

Con's
  • Owing it to my friends to close with them one last time.
  • Possibly regretting not having that last chance to do something.
  • I very well may have a Physics midterm the next day. My prof is being very tight lipped about the whole thing.

So, as of now, I can't possibly make the decision. We'll see how the week leading up to it goes.

I don't think this is the best board to post on to get a balanced answer ;)

Good luck making your decision, and enjoy the film and your last hours in VMK, whenever they both may be.

I agree with this. The movie will still be playing after VMK closes for good.

So where would be the best place to ask? :confused3 On the main DIS community board? They sure as heck don't care about us over on the VMK boards.

I'm sorry, I was only joking! I didn't mean to upset anyone!
