ON the site ehre for the menus it is very vague as to what items they serve. I am considering for breakfast or lunch would lvoe feedback on what they serve and your dining experiences, the good the bad or the ugly?? :confused3

Thanks everyone!!! :thumbsup2

We ate lunch there the last week of Aug. We liked it a lot. There was a lot to choose from on the buffet ... much more so than on another buffet we ate at. I'm a vegetarian & found a decent amount to choose from. They have a salad bar which was very good, appetizers, entrees, sides, & desserts, all of which had enough varieties of food to please just about anyone.

Here's what I remember from breakfast - lots of fresh fruit, winne the pooh waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage links, made to order pancakes (choc chip, blueberry), made to order eggs, grits, oatmeal, various muffins, and cereal.

Never had a problem with service - always got plenty of drink refills if needed and plate were cleared promptly. The only downside was if a character had passed by right before you were seated you might not get to see them again unless you were willing to wait more than a half hour.

Oh Bother!

Thanks I am now trying to locate some pics and reviews. I am hoping this will be a good one DS loves Piglet!

We ate breakfast at Crystal Palace and loved it! There was a huge variety of foods. My favorite was the puffed french toast, and a hash brown/cheese/sausage casserole of some sort. I could've settled in for the day! HA We also had good luck with the characters. Our ADR was for 8:05 AM, and we were out of there by 9:00 AM and had taken our pictures with all the characters and gone back for seconds!

Best meal of the trip for our group (we did Lunch there in February '06) -- everyone found something to love in the food available (the spoon bread was a huge hit with the baby), and the character interaction was great. As you can (hopefully) see in the photo, Piglet was our daughter's True Love. I thought we would have to pry her off with a crowbar. ;)

We ate at CP this week. While not my favorite, it would still be toward the top of the list. Nice variety. Desserts were quite good. You will see each character once (unless you linger quite long).

Crystal Palace is a MUST for dinner every time! Not only do you get cool characters, the food is really good! The Penne is WONDERFUL! We have never had a bad meal there! :sunny:

CP was prob in our top 5 favorite things about our honeymoon! We did breakfast and there is a great selection and the food was great. Our server even brought me my own pot of coffee! The characters interactionw as great, they did a lap around the whole room so you knew when they would be coming to you... we saw everyone and even had Tigger sit on our laps! We loved it! Before we ever went another family member recommended it to us and it was a great recomendation!

Loved, loved, loved the CP breakfast. Great character interaction, excellent food, friendly servers, I would definitely go back.

Thanks so much everyone you made my deciosn its a go now one dilema...Breakfast or dinner !!!! Ugh got one thing done now got another kinda like the laundry around here!

Much more fun though!!!

My kids loved the breakfast lasagna. I loved the vegetable fritatta. We had an 800 adr and was out of there by 850. Great character interaction, Great location. :wave2:

I see a lot of reviews for breakfast and dinner at Crystal Palace, but since it's our first day at WDW, I thought an early lunch would be best and the menu items looked more like our tasting. Does anyone have any reviews / comments for lunch there?

We had lunch there in Dec 2005. I was so pleasantly surprised! I am not a big fan of buffets. My DS is older now (17yo) so we enjoy more adult dining experiences. But, this trip, we took the Grandchildren & wanted to do as many Character meals as possible. CP lunch was by far the best. We made an ADR for the very first lunch seating time. I think this contributed to our positive experience. Everything was fresh from the kitchen that way. No sitting around & "aging". The assortment of salads was excellent. I could have filled up at the salad section alone without ever moving down the line & been a happy camper. But, I did try some of the other hot dishes. The salmon was excellent, the braised kale dish was delicious. There was a thai curried chicken which I really enjoyed. The spoonbread was a big hit at our table from ages 3-59. I'm not a big meat eater, but noticed they did have a carving section with beef & pork at our lunch.

I would definately return to lunch at CP, even without the grandkids. (I can't really say that for the other character meals we had that trip) The kids loved the characters & there was still decent food for us adults. It was a win-win lunch.

We've had both breakfast and dinner at CP and while both are great.....we prefer breakfast! So many items to choose from:

bagels/bread
cream cheese/butter/jellies
muffins
some type of breakfast cake like a crumb cake
fresh fruit
scrambled eggs
omlets made to order with a variety of ingredients
pancakes made to order with choc. chips/blueberries...depends what they have
puffed french toast - my favorite
bacon
sauasage
canadian bacon - sometimes
hash brown casserole
breakfast potatoes
grits
waffles
breakfast lasagna - layers of pancakes with all kinds of sweet ingredients throughout
mini dougnuts

More that I can't remember.......

We had lunch at CP in June and loved it! There was so much to choose from the buffet - salmon, flank steak, roasted chicken, macaroni and cheese (kids bar), cold cuts, salads, fresh fruit, and so much more. I didn't get to sample everything, but took small portions of so many different things.

I had lunch there in May and thought that it was wonderful! Watch out for those desserts, though, as they can potentially put on the pounds! ;)
