crystal palace- weird question

I need a place to hide from firework noise during the show. My autistic little one completely flips out at the sight or sounds of fireworks. Crystal palace has dining reservations at 9;40 which would be perfect. Can you hear the fireworks inside this restaurant?

You will probably hear them, although they should be more like muted thumps from inside the restaurant. Depending on how sensitive your child is to the sound, you might plan to bring earplugs. I'm not autistic but I despise the sound of fireworks, and always have a pair of Hearos in my bag at the parks. For some reason the sound sends chills down my spine.

You will more then likely hear loud banging sounds, especially when the M80s go off, from inside the restaurant. We have been inside BOG, Tony's Town Square, and CRT while Wishes was going off and that is what we heard from those restaurants. I really don't think there is any restaurant that will completely hide the sound of fireworks, you may be better off going on a ride either in POTC, JC, or maybe even Country Bears Jamboree, even Buzz Light Year Space Ranger spin...go to a land that is a bit further away from the castle.

Does he like rides ? - when my dd was small she hated the fireworks so we hid out in a ride. Usually buzz lightyear. We seemed to miss most of it.

Failing that can you get everything done before they start so you leave in order to miss them ?

Does your ds use ear defenders to cut out some of the noise ?

If you go to Pecos Bills and sit in the back room (looks like night in it) you will not see them and won't hear much at all with the noise from inside the restaurant and sitting away from the doors.

You can hear them in a house 15 minutes from the MK so you will probably be able to hear them anywhere in the park. I second the suggestion to go in a show or ride with a lot of noise to drown out the sounds.

yes you can definitely hear them in crystal palace.

i too suggest going to an attraction during the fireworks

Buzz won't work it is too short and then you need to come outside. The best bet would be a long show like carousel of progress or monsters inc or country bears, not sure if any of them are on that late though. You will hear fireworks inside any building in the park but in some they will be quite muffled. Not sure how old he is but my six year old was always asleep in stroller by the time fireworks were on and they did not wake him up!

Pirates of the Caribbean would also be a gd ride to go on... Your basically underground .. Fireworks last anywhere from 10 to 15 mins usually. All the rides are not that long.. Carousel of progress would be great also usually never a line to get on that so you can time your entrance right before the fireworks start and that probably is more than 15 mins..

We were in the same boat several years back. We used earplugs for our girls. We went inside a souvenir shop, that big one on Main Street. Deep in the back, you can't really hear much and the kids enjoyed looking at all the stuff.

My son was terribly afraid of loud noises when he was younger. Back in 2008 the fireworks started and he had a breakdown. Luckily we were right near It's a Small World. We hopped on with no line and didn't hear the fireworks at all.

I did see some children that had the headphones on with music piped in...wonder if that type would work for you if you were inside Crystal Palace....we did have headphones for our grandkids when they were younger...loud rides and loud fireworks...they worked

As pumba states, headphones is probably the best way to go. Pirates of the Caribbean is closed until 9/25, so that rules out that suggestion.
