crystal palace - skip it or try it?

In recent years it has really cleaned up and become 100x better!

Yes there is a crowd there, but usually there is very little wait time for a table, we however had to wait a little longer this year because a large party swamped all the tables and backed everything up. To compensate us for our wait the staff gave us fast pass that we got to use at a few rides!

As a vegan the food is great for me, the selection of salads and entrees are top notch.

Go for it!

Can you see Spectromagic from CP? Even an obstructed view?

Just got back 2 days ago. We ate at Crystal Palace for breakfast. The food was good (not excellant) and the characters were fun (Tigger was perfectly Tiggerish.) The big advantage I found was being able to get into the park early and have our meal finished just as the park opened. We had all the big rides down right away.

CP is a must do for us every trip!!! This year we are doing breakfast and dinner again!

We had breakfast 2 years ago loveley in Aug we are doing dinner we love pooh charactors.:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

We tried Crystal Palace again last summer (Had not been there since 1995) for dinner.

It was an absolutely fabulous dinner that I was trying to figure out a way to go again. DH isn't a fan of eating at the same place twice so we didn't - but it was so good I want to eat there again.

The spoon bread was FABULOUS!

It's definately on my list for our next trip.

Definitely give it a try, even if you don't care about the character aspect of the meal. In my opinion, it is worth every penny (especially at dinner) :thumbsup2

We thought it was the best dinner buffet of the entire trip. Even without the chracters it would be good. Well worth the try. The location is great too!

I went to the dinner buffet last year, I really like buffets because it's easy to pick and choose and have as little or as much as you like.

I did think the place was pretty full up but it wasn't over crowded. There was no waiting to get close to the buffet stands etc. The characters were there, they stopped at our table for a little bit but we had no small children with us so they did move on pretty quickly after we took a couple of pictures. My sister is kind of at that age where nothing is 'cool' and it's not 'cool' to be silly at Disney. I however happily joined in with the little parade about the restaurant... I think I may have stood out a little considering I'm 5ft 9.

Thought the food was really nice, lots of options. Thought the desserts were really good too! Good value for money all round.

What is better breakfast or dinner? Should we do the breakfast for the reason to get there for opening??

Dh and I ate there in Nov for dinner. The food was just ok. We both agreed that we wouldnt be back until we had children so that they can see the characters.

I was just going to post the same thing.
breakfast or lunch?
The day I'm planning is EMH so will want to do that first and I got the last seating for Brkfast but they also had lunch open.

My family and I love Crystal Palace for breakfast. The breakfast lasagne is the only thing we don't care for too much, but everything else is Yumm-O!! :)

M2DD - we're doing the same thing; EMH then a breakfast break at Crystal Palace. I haven't been there before but it's sounding good. I'm a HUGE Pooh fan, this character meal is for me!:flower3:

The lunch buffet is a must for us - the food is great. Lunch is a little cheaper, and just as much food.
However, if you don't have kids and you don't care about the characters, there are plenty of other places to eat that are just as good.

I have it booked for breakfast before MK opens... I've never been, but hopefully it's worth it!

DH & I go to CP for breakfast every stay at WDW. We absolutely love it & we're in our 50's. Never found it to be overly loud, character interaction is great. To us, the breakfast buffet is much better than the dinner. We have ressies in September for breakfast & can't wait. :cutie:
