I have seen lots of pix of the characters, but not of the food or the layout. What does it look like inside? I haven't eaten there since I was 4 so I don't remember anything really. I think I just remember that we went and that's it.

It is very cute inside. Hard to explain, I don't know the correct 'theming" but to me it is quaint.
Once you enter the door the seating is to the left and right (2 rooms) but an open plan. The buffet is directly across from the door but set way back. There are 2 lines with the same things that meet in the middle at the carving station.
There is a little island between the door and the buffet with the deserts on it.

Hopefully others can show pictures, but until then I hope this gives you sort of a picture.

It's beautiful! Wish I had a picture I could post, but alas we have dial-up internet and it would take a year to upload :)

That said, you walk in and there are dining areas to the left and right (I believe) and the buffet area is pretty much straight ahead. There are all kinds of hot foods (pancakes, waffles (with a Pooh imprint) eggs, meats etc... an omelet bar, a bread section off by itself with bagels, cereals, toasts, muffins, danish etc...and a cold section with fruits, cottage cheese etc...and a kids section with kiddie stuff (but grown-ups can eat it too). It's all white and glass and gorgeous! In a way it reminds me of Mary Poppins for some reason.

The CP is very light and airy as you would expect with all the glass...
The buffet is set up intelligently with different stations for ease of serving and the service has always been stellar!:wizard:

There's a scheduled refurb for early this year, I believe.

The breakfast there is one of my favorite things to do. I love getting a preopening ADR. Seeing the park without people is cool:goodvibes

The poster that described the "Mary Poppins" feel....that is exactly it!!!

Atrium when you walk in (from the side - sorry! topiaries of Pooh characters in the front)

It is so funny you ask this, this is the one restaurant we forgot to take photos of the food, we were so busy taking photos of the characters, I completely forgot about taking photos of the food. We were there at 1:00 for a lunch reservation on 12/13/2009, the food & variety was GREAT!!
I love the fish they serve, it is amazing !!! Tons of salad variety, meat/fish variety, & the sides were great !!! We have never had a bad meal at Crystal Palace !!! Be sure to make a ADR, because the regular wait line was very long due to free dining during our stay!!! But we loved the meal & the desserts & the service & the characters!!! :santa::santa::santa:

There are some food pictures on my blog (link in my signature). This is our must do family restaurant on the last night of each trip. We love it! :)
