DH and I typically don't care for buffet restaurants, but I have been wanting to try Crystal Palace. Can kids, 7 and 9 choose food from the regular buffet, or must they eat from the child's buffet. We will be using the DDP in October.
We were just there a couple of weeks ago and kids could eat at the "adult" buffet. I believe all the buffets are similar - kids can eat the adult stuff and adults can eat the kids stuff (which can come in handy if you have a picky adult - at least you know they can still fill up on chicken fingers)...
Anyone can eat off of any part of the buffet. There is a section at most buffets that is labled "Kids" or Childs", but that's just where they have the kid friendly items (chicken nuggets, M&C, etc). Usually that area is much lower to the floor also to make it easier for the kids to serve themselves. On the other hand, over the years, I've seen just as many adults eating off the child's buffet as the kids! Always room on my plate for a good chicken nugget!
We love the CP!! You won't be disappointed at all!! We're going for the breakfast buffet in August and can't wait. This restaurant is so charming you'll want to go just to sit inside it!!
For us, it's not a Disney trip without a meal at CP. I'm not a fan of buffets, either, but I love this place - the food is good, the atmosphere is nice, the characters are a hoot. Try it - I doubt you'll be disappointed!
